| He'll be a big miss, top quality player and debatable service IMO.
However, sounds like a big deal was put to him by us early and he was entertaining interest from Australia so stalled, with his agent saying we'd get an answer by the start of the NRL season. If that deadline passed, and we're confident in Crookes, the club's has to look at the bigger picture and move on, especially with the change in anti-tampering date.
There have been many superlative Briscoe efforts over the years, I remember the team bus going via his school to collect him for his debut at Warrington, and I'm hugely disappointed he sees his future elsewhere. But Leeds have the t-shirt - 5 of them - in silverware delivery - and thoughts they are on the slide are only thoughts right now, they won't rest on their laurels. I thank Tom for his service and wish him well. Not against us,obviously.

| I like how posters on here lambast the view regarding the service Tom has had from Yeaman but can't formulate why their view is right & the poster is so wrong? Do you not think that things like that influence people more than money does? It's actually greater than you think.
Working conditions are voted higher than pay as the number one thing workers in the UK want to improve. Given Yeaman was offered another year on his contract & it's unlikely Hull will get rid of him (yeaman) at the end of 2014 either I can see that being a factor to be quite honest.
Why when you are one of the best wingers in SL would you want to continue to have the type of service that Yeaman provides week in week out for another couple of years? It can certainly put you down the pecking order when it comes to international honours.
Let's face it, if Tom had been at Leeds, Wigan, Warrington, even Hudds or Cats the last 2 or 3 years he'd have had a shed load more tries & be nailed on as the England winger & promoted himself far more for a big move to NRL.
Clearly this isn't all down to Yeaman & it is nothing personal but how Yeaman plays can certainly have a bearing if you look at all the pros and cons of staying or moving.

| Yeaman's lack of service has been blown out of all proportion over the yrs. Been some stand out moments were he has been undeniably greedy but his strike rate an strike threat has sucked defenders which has freed Briscoe on a number of occasions, a far bigger factor on Briscoe s try return is lack of half backs providing clean crisp service, and a game plan that involved nothing more than giving it to Manu n seeing what he could do. Briscoe n yeamo get on like a house on fire, pretty sure it's nothing to do with yeaman.
People saying we won't miss him or easily replaced are not being realistic.
X factor players are X factor players, position is irrelevant.
Depending on crookes court case we may still be in the market for a winger.
Should we be anyway?
God forbid lineham took a big injury anytime our wings wouldn't look so good. We lose one now we replace with Jason crookes,as good as any 3rd choice wing in the league!

Well, as far as english teams go, he won't get many/if any better teams to play for than leeds. He'll most likely get a decent wack, be well looked after, and be playing in a very stable environment with a close knit, largely home grown team that are perennial grand final winners, i mean seriously, what's not to like?
Don't let your hull fc, leeds hating bias cloud your judgment on a [iplayers[/i point of view.
Let's not kid ourselves here. Hull beat leeds last week and AP has been mouthing off talking big since he took over, but they are still behind leeds in the league even though leeds have games in hand and key players out, they still have a long way to go before they are one of the big dawgs whereas we know leeds will be right in there when it matters most.
If tom can't go to the NRL and hull fc can't keep him, leeds is pretty much his best option.

5th in the league with a few scalps and AP claiming world domination? It's hardly earth shattering stuff.

6th.
Anyway its a non-story. After all the fuss he made after the Luke Briscoe switch, there is no way that Adam Pearson will stand by and let Tom make the same move.

What exactly do you expect him to do ? Point a gun to his head ?
Tom made his mind up about leaving Hull over a year ago (if not longer) and we have offered him the best we can without disrupting other areas of the squad.
People can say all they want about where FC are as a club now but they are moving forward and to say we are 6th after entering April with only two wins must say a lot about the standard of other teams in SL.

It would be wrong to say leeds don't care about the challenge cup because the players do.
However, when Gary Hetherington bought the club in 96 leeds had only won 3 championships in their history and his remit was to turn them for underachievers to winners. You can only do that by winning titles. So the club is structured around that. They will always be geared around playing their best in the playoffs. If the draw is favourable in the CC then it's always a possibility or theres always room for a big performance in the semis or the quarters, but the final is always abit too close to the playoffs.
It's actually funny you throw the CC in there because this years CC final will be the first domestic final, full stop, that leeds have failed to contest since the grand final of 2010! In fact the last season leeds failed to contest any major final was way back in 2006!

Each player will be gradually phased out, replacements are already being slowly groomed. They aren't all going to to just suddenly leave one day.
Peacock and mcguire will probably be the first, with peacock retiring and i imagine with mcguires latest injury his days are now numbered, the last time he really hit his best was 2010. Burrow and sinfield will probably be the last to go from the list you mentioned. As much a clubman as jjb has been are you seriously suggesting leeds will struggle to replace a hardworking second rower?
Leeds always plan 2 or 3 seasons ahead, they have some young talent waiting in the wings as well as arguable the best young backline in the league. If you think they will just go away when those players retire than you are an idiot.
