I said earlier in this thread that under Agar we'd pick up the occasional good win (and we did at Warrington) but suffer far too many poor defeats. I stick with my view that I've had since he got the job, he lacks the gravitas a club like our's should demand. That said, there's no way is Agar going anywhere before the end of the season, at the earliest.

Don't think anybody can or will match MY aspirations for OUR club.


Agar has a long way to go to prove he's the man to take us forward, but NOBODY can deny that we are playing a LOT better than at anytime during his tenure. Why that is I don't care, as long as it continues.

We haven't played outstandingly have we? Yes we have played well but only in patches. Gonna take a lot more than some patchy good play to change my mind and plenty of others think the same way.

TBF Bugs, there are some occasions when I have witnessed patches of outstanding rugby

....I think we need to be more consistent though and make sure we are at the top of our game for the full 80 minutes.

Fair play but it is a huge improvement on what we were playing at i think he deserves untill the end of the season to get us into top 6 then maybe win a playoff game. Then next season we should be gunning for top 4.

the players we have recruited that have moved us forward came by accident, not by design.

He is not good enough, even if we win the CC, we id that with Kear and he wasn't good enough either.

I dont care what we where like with the old squad he should be judged on how we perform with the team as it is now, you cant just discount it just because we have better players

I don't think people are slating him at the moment. Just because we are winning at the moment doesn't mean people have to stop picking up on what he is not doing right (In their opinion). Pointing out mistakes etc, is not what i would class as slating.

If you point out that (EG) Manu took the wrong option running the ball on the 5th instead of passing it out to the winger who was wide open.

Not slating just a general observation, as are the majority of the comments on Agar at present.

So now it's the method by which we recruit that is the issue ? It just gets better. We tried (hard) and failed to sign Sammut as cover in the halves. We didn't need Phelps until Tansey got ed again. We have needed a right centre for a while and swooped when one of the best became available (who wasn't available during normal recruitment time).

And it's all down to the new players that we've won three or four games ? Not the coach ?
So it's well done players when we win.

It would be useful for the furtherance of debate if you didn't label everyone with a slightly less critical view of the coach and club than you as a sycophant. You could instead have addressed those points with which you disagreed. For instance, in terms of recruitment I didn't see any factual inaccuracies.

All over it with negativitiy ain't I.

Credit where credit is due,the team is playing well....only concern is we cant seem to finish a team off,As for Agars future....still isnt the coach to take us to the next level.

Things are better for the time being but improvement is required on all fronts. We need to improve on last season's finish for me and the start has made that pretty difficult. I'm impressed the way the squad has stuck together through the tough start but we'll need to improve further if we're to meet my measure of improvement.
