I think there is a big difference when a player who is currently in your squad takes part in a misdemeanour. You may not agree with what they have done but he is part of the team so you back them one way or another. (Majority of Rovers fans don't agree with what Cockayne did and rightly so, but i do not expect them to say he should be kicked out of the club either, for another club to benefit)

It is different when you get a player who has been sacked by a club because of a misdemeanour and the said club was congratulated on this very board for what they did.

Then to compound everything and show our club has no real grasp of how the fans feel they go sign the player.

FFS the campaign was focusing on the rehabilitation of offenders, he has apologised and shown great remorse so really hull have shown initiative towards the programme in helping him. Good signing if he stay's fit.

Many players in the game have been in trouble loads of times and still carry on playing rugby, it happens in normal life aswell people get in trouble and do bad things but it doesnt stop them from working ok they aint going to get good jobs but still everybody has the right to earn a crust.

Reardon has pleaded guilty and will get what he deserves, i doubt warrington would have released him if he was fit and playing well like leon pryce.

Only irony here is that last week Rovers fans said you should keep the judicial system and its punishment entirely separate from Cockayne's career and no further sanctions should be made against him. Now it's Reardon and you can't wait to condemn FC's decision. FC's fans have been consistent in their views on both cases at least.

I know people are having a lot off because of the moral of the signing, but the fact is, we need him for the rest of the season if Motu isnt going to be fit!

There's been alot of hysterical over reaction on here tonight, but it's understandable. It would all be less ironic if we hadn't watched those balloons been released and heard the Cockayne song. I have to say this signing smacks of those in charge running around like headless chickens desperate to do anything to halt the slide and patch-up our threadbare squad. If this fella goes down it'll also turn out to be an expensive mistake. Would it be stating the obvious to say we're overdue some good news???
