I was born male, but now identify as binary gender pink grapefruit. We are trying to organise a Fruit Pride Festival for the LGBT community , you know , lemon, grapefruit, banana and tomato, as we feel marginalised and discriminated against. I have no problem with anyone's self definition, but the world has gone a tad barmy of late, in that area.

If Houghton, or anybody in that position , has an option, in their favour, to take up an year extra, on the assumed figure £60k, that would be a foolish thing to turn down. I know which I'd choose and there is little doubt he still can play well, so even if 3rd choice, quality back up for when injuries hit, and a shining example to the youth coming through of what hard work and professionalism can bring to their game.

If the club to have achieved somewhere close to 6K after the way last season ended in June and the awful performances following on from the previous season I'd have said that would have been an achievement.
However for the club to have reached over 7.5K all whilst fans still raw from the recent failures and the added cost of living increases both the club and fans should be applauded for their efforts.
Think it shows that by bringing in an experienced Head Coach with a proven track record and a new back room team it has re galvanised both the club internally and the fans. Its still early days and no guarantees but AP this time hasn't gambled on an assistant to learn as they go so fingers crossed the changes made this off season will bear fruit soon enough.

Agreed and whilst I'd have liked to have seen him take part on Sunday no point risky making things worse just for a friendly as its not like we don't know what we get from Ligi, rather he be 100% for round 1.

Ligi is one of our fittest players so missing this game shouldnt be a problem

We really need the team to improve the home form and make visiting the MKM a pleasurable experience for supporters because for the last few years apart from the occasional game it's been pretty grim.
