Exactly why would we want a debt after working so hard to eradicate our own debt, the only green eyed monsters about are Rovers who are jealous of our current financial situation.

Regarding Allam buying the stadium, i just cannot see what the council would really gain from it. People who know the intricacies of local council have alluded to the fact that any money from the sale would only be allowed to be spent on certain projects. Unless the stadium is losing money year in year out then the council will gain nothing from this apart from feelings of hatred from certain sections of the voting public.

If they are going to sell the stadium, why waste millions on redeveloping west park with some rusty lights etc, if Allam has plans to build a sports village, he would surely be looking to buy up the real estate surrounding the stadium as well.

It all sounds very Lloyd-esque to me, someone coming in spouting visions and great intentions, till something doesn't go their way and then the next thing we will see is chains and locks on the stadium to deny access.

Exactly what concerned me, his comments stating we already enjoy using the facilities from when he bought Hull City, he seems to think he owns the stadium already and the rest is just a formality, maybe (hypothetically) certain Councillors have given him assurances after his generous donation. What Mr Allam needs to digest is that he bought a football club and the stadium wasn't thrown in for good measure, oh and FC already had use of the facilities before he came along.

I goes to show either his stupidity or arrogance, or both.

Don't forget the £4.2M borrowed for the North stand, that would make it £8.7M. Minor little details tend to get overlooked when all you have before your eyes are ££££££££££ signs, vison gets a little impaired.

That £4.2 is for the whole development and is to be divided between three partners, of whom HKR are one. One thing that has occurred to me is that Allam's money may provide alternative rather than additional funding, to be paid back at a lower rate (eg 0% interest). This would also limit the Councils exposure, as it was they who are to underwrite the loan.

So £3.5m debt you already had...£1m new debt of Uncle Allam...£4.2m debt split 3 ways.....

Allam went on radio the other week saying KR & FC should merge, and he favoured no club..
It transpired he gave KR £1m soft loan...to add to there present debt...Spent 3 days trying to tell the dobbins it is not a gift and will ave to be paid back, they are having none of it and declare we are jealous (because we have not got ourselfs into £1m debt

Allam is a mad man who now is making noises that he owns the stadium already..

Allam has scheduled a meeting with the Council to discuss the sale of the KC. He's also just given Rovers a 7-figure interest-free loan and claimed it's to compensate them for us being 'allowed' to use the facilities at the KC. He's talking as if he already owns the place.

Prior to the announcement of the loan Allam was a guest of Hudgel at CP - along with half the council and the local MP. The MP and the council leader are Rovers fans, thus leading to suspicion about a deal being done behind closed doors.

Allam has given Rovers a soft loan of £1m. Possibly as first step towards buying the KC for a fiver and throwing Hull FC out on the street, because...

Thanks, so as clear as mud then. I heard he had given Rovers a million not loaned them, so it´s potentially more debt then?

As for the stadium I am sure he will get it but I also think our interests will be protected despite the scaremongering going on. As for Allam I still don´t trust him and wouldn´t if I were Rovers or Hull.

The whole project is to cost £6.5M with £4.2M coming from the council, the problem with 3 partners is if one or more move away from the stadium (Rovers being the exception), would that then leave Rovers covering the full repayment to the Council?
