I'm sure Crooks didn't like the idea of playing for 3 or 4 weeks at Doncaster and now he's got the chance to avoid going back there.
Assuming he's got the ability, bringing him back to play against someone like Wigan would stretch his confidence to the limit.

Good god no, Horne has never played centre and wing is a specialist position.

I'd play Crooks and Colbon for the London game with a view to replacing Colbon with Crookes against Wakey.

Horne has played centre plenty of times, including a few games last year. while I agree wing is specialist, Colbon is awful poor defensively and is slower than our forwards. Really poor signing, I cant believe there isnt a better winger in the lower leagues.

When did Horne play centre last year?

With regards to Colbon, it's difficult because he's probably on a pittance (which is probably all we could afford on the cap) and the decent wingers in the championship would either demand more or are not willing to give up there other jobs for a one year deal at Hull.

Whiting shouldn't be playing centre any more for sure. Unfair on him as he isn't quick enough and wants to play second row.

Fair point about a Championship winger, I do wonder if we could have done a deal with Donny and got Dave Scott for a Month, I'm sure he would have loved another crack at SL, thought he looked good in the world cup and been outstanding for Donny this year.

Agree with you about Crookes and Crooks, but not sure about Arundel, was truly awful on the wing in his game there for Hull.

Well it was a long, long time ago but he played much of 2001 at centre when we had Paul Cooke and Tony Smith at half backs. He was a bit faster back then, of course.

Not the biggest fan of Dual Reg , but needs must , the attitude of the players who have played for the Dons has been excellent. Colbon had 1 game , looked overweight & lacked match fitness.
Wouldn't mind if Liam Kent signed for us as he seems a bit down the pecking order at FC.

I'd go with

Shaul; Talanoa, Yeaman, Crooks, Colborn;
Rankin, Miller;
Carvell, Houghton, Paea; Ellis, Whiting; Westerman.

Paleaaesina, Watts, Thompson, Heremaia.

No doubt Horne will be in there though, so probably Miller or Rankin to miss out.
Don't think Radford will be daft enough to leave out Heremaia again. We missed him badly on Thursday.
