And yet again the oldest man in the team with the biggest workload gets no mention in that list. Either more evidence of Agar's cluelessness or I'm starting to wonder if he's actually afraid of Fitzgibbon and possibly upsetting him.

TBH I though we could have been 24 up. We bombed 4 chances (Briscoe and Lyne for 2/3 of them), but then it just got worse.

Another reason why he needs to go. The coach is either in charge or he isn't. If Fitz is insisting on playing 80 mins and Agar can't stop him that's a problem. If Agar wants to spell him and is overruled from above, that's a problem too.

I alluded to it in a thread a few weeks ago, as good a player as Fitzgibbon is and the record he has, I'm wondering about the possibilty that all of the seeming awe and worship being heaped upon him is perhaps unhealthy. ATEOTD he is still 'just' a player, and elevating him above the others is possibly disrespectful and could cause animosity. For all that talk of team spirit the other week, there are some things about the way he seems to go about his business and is talked about/treated that can do as much damage as anything. If I was in that squad it would certainly annoy me.

Maybe he can blame Wakefields over agressive physical game. Maybe he can blame Ganson. Maybe he can blame the horrible Tomkins brothers!

. It's not just a cheap insult though, I believe it: He talks like he's thick and he coaches like he's thick, why would I think anything else?

You might say that nobody who is thick would get to be a head coach of a SL team, but then George W Bush got to be President of the United States. Sometimes just being in the right place at the right time is enough.

Have to admit it was a tempting straight line. Almost used it myself, but TBH I'm not convinced that he is thick in the usual sense of the word.

However I understand what Gary is saying (and I do not believe it is a personal insult as such)..Agar knows his rugby but he is not a headcoach, so the sad thing is it makes him appear thick, if you know what I mean

I personally think ignorant/oblivious and stubborn are fairer descriptions than thick. Often his analysis isn't inaccurate, it's more that it's incomplete. There are several problems he just appears unable or unwilling to acknowledge.

Stange man that Gary Brindley - we get insulted more than any-one else in this country because of our accent and he has a go at R Agars. Now personally I dont connect the accent with the inabliity/ability to be a coach of a Top Super League side. The accept I find quite endearing its Proper Yorkshire.

I find someone presumably from the Hull area (like myself) saying someone sounds a bit thick, pretty much based on accent alone from your ramblings earlier, a bit pot, kettle, black to say the least.

When I mention the way he talks it's things like the way he says 'us' when he should say 'our', or 'what' instead of 'that', 'smarts' instead of 'intelligence' etc. It's also things like when he says "y'know" 60 odd times in 7 minutes. These are the sort of thing that 7 year olds get told off for at school, and you'd certainly expect to get marked down in a job interview for doing it. Infact Agar often struggles to construct full sentences, and instead has to talk in short bursts to hide his inadequacy.

I agree that if he was good at his job nobody would mention it, but since he is so poor at his job this sort of thing becomes fair comment. He could help himself no end if we was able to present and articulate himself a bit better. Pretending it doesn't matter is just ignorance IMO.

Oh I dont know as they say you cant always judge a book my its cover. You write quite articulately but reading between the lines you seem to be a know it all baffoon.

If you're going to aim an insulting word at someone, it really does help if you manage to spell it properly.

But then again when most of us are down at the KC at least trying to support our team in "any kind of weather" you are no doubt busy with your pants down to your ankles “hoping the team loose”, "owning", "bullying" and making people your "b!tch", calling our head coach "thick" and comparing our chief exec to a Nazi while contributing to internet forums. I suspect if Rich Agar is sacked you will have little to do with your life other than slip back to some virtual "Second life" world on a Friday night.
