Lane and fash in back three might be ok tackling wise but we need a bit more umph going forward. I would maybe try Sao in there. By the way not knocking lane or fash but we need more go forward.

I'd rather go with Swift at FB rather than McIntosh as I feel he is the better of the two under high ball which Cats will likely pepper us with. Though I think it may well be Shaul that comes in as the replacement FB.

As for the banning of Taylor think its a very harsh decision as it just looked as though Reece Lyne got his feet caught under the tackle as Taylor had hold of his legs. We should have known when Griffiths put it on report we'd likely cop a ban.

To be honest in regards the half’s after the poor performances I’d much rather sit both out and go with Lovodua and Hookem as we have nothing to lose by doing so. I’d also hope BH will bring Balmforth in to contention to spell Houghton particularly with the likelihood it will be hot.

Reynolds also has the same clause in his contract to automatically activate the 3rd year of his contract.

Another reason to stop playing them both, seems a stupid clause, surely it should be based on performances rather than appearances?

Think it would be a fair assessment to say neither Gale or Reynolds have delivered anywhere close to levels of performance you would expect from experienced halfs even considering there ages and being in the twilight of their careers.

If neither of them played again this season I doubt we would be any worse off, I really hope that we have neither in the playing squad for next season.

Those two tackled everything and were always first to tackle the opposition receiver on a last tackle kick to their side.
i would also drop Griffin as his lazy attitude and work rate stinks
Dont see the point in moving players around so Shaul to full back and If Carlos is fit then Mitch on the bench.He is big enough and strong enough to cover second row if required.
Balmforth for me should be given another chance to rotate with Houghton but Johnstone will be given the bench spot

Agreed, Gale is lucky that McNamara is injured or it would likely be Lovodua and McNamara. I'd even be tempted to just go Lovodua and Hookem as we don't have much to lose and need creativity with Connor likely to be missing which we simply do not get from either Gale or Reynolds. I'd also have Balmforth in the 17 to spell Houghton particularly in the heat as expecting Danny to play in the first 40mins in that heat would pretty much empty his tank completely if not spelled.

As you say thought when we had Mitch and Lovodua on together they terrorised the opposition as their line speed in defence was so quick and very rarely missed a tackle if at all.

Agree about Mitch and lovodua. Still think Gale will play. We need to get rotation right Sat. certainly can't flog Houghton for 80 min.

Think we would all like to have a look at Hookem but this coach will play it safe, thats why i think Johnstone will play in front of Balmforth and Gale will play.If he plays Reynolds then he has lost the plot.
The coach should also take a serious look at Griffin because he doesnt deserve to be in this squad but like i have said several times he is too loyal to certain players

Iain Thornley has just done his MCL and is out gor 6 weeks. I'd guess we're looking at a similar time frame for Connor

I think Reynolds and gale will both play. I'm sure I saw on here that joey was having visa problems,I heard today he isn't double jabbed so can't go really hope that's not true as I'd like to see him at 6. I'd also have Mitch at right centre and Carlos at left centre if both fit. Harsh on wynne but would have him on the bench ,fresh legs and speed late on in the game
