Can't think of any reason why Tickle should be dropped from kicking duties imo so we should leave it to him and as you mentioned it will do him the world of good not having to play 80 Min's a game so when he is off Fitz can take over.
Can't understand why everyone wants Fitz to do the kicking when tickle has done a grand job over the years, Fitz is majorly getting built up on this forum, captain, kicker blah blah blah and i feel Kearney syndrome coming on at some point.

If we were drawing 10-10 and we had a conversion to win the game i would much rather have Fitzgibbon lining up the kick than Tickle. Stats and percentages dont take into account how important the kick is.

Not sure if its been mentioned yet but do the aussies still play with a different kind of ball thats made up with a different number of panels? Makes kicking it a different experience.

Super League used a 8 panel ball but that was ages ago, may have even just been to do with the WC when we held it IIRC.

I'd rather have Fitzy taking the kicks as he is easily one of the best goal kickers around. But, if Agar decided that he'd like to stick with Ticks as he's had the job the last 3 seasons. Then I'd still be happy as it's not like Ticks is a crap kicker, still one of the best in the league.

The only reason Tickle will be dropped from the kicking duties, is because Fitzy is a better kicker than him. But as I said before. If Ticks is still the kicker next season I won't be dissapointed at all...Both quality kickers.

I dont care who the kicker is, i just hope they have way more conversions to take than last season.

They brought out an 8 panel Gilbert ball for the NSPCC 'STOP' campaign in 2000, lovely ball to kick lengthy spirals with and not too bad for passing either. Still use mine now & again.
I'd rather see Danny taking the lead for kicks, just to take it away from him is a negative & possibly demotivating, he'll obviously know a lot more about away ground peculiarities for certain kicking conditions. If he is getting spelled then I would expect Danny's successful kicking % to rise as he'll hopefully be less tired for those vital kicks.

To me it's a no brainer the kicking situation, if you have quality goalkickers left and right footed, left footed takes from the right and right footed from the left !!!! It's obvious !!!! Opens the sticks up and makes the attempt so much easier, the goal is about 20 degrees wider for both of them, I've always thought why don't they do this if they have the opportunity, which FC have this year surely !!

Fitzy for me. Tickle had a poor season last year and needs to fight for a place in the side never mind worrying about kicking duties.

That's a good point. We are so strong in the back row. Players are going to have to fight to get a place in the 17 never mind the 13. Fitzy is a deffinate in the back row wether it back lock or 2nd row. Tickle isn't garaunteed to be in there. But atleast we know when he does play he#'ll be able to get spelled regardless of wether he's our kicker or not. Can only be good for the team and for himself.

On the other hand I think Fitzy will be named at 13, but I'm a huge fan or Washy and would be gutted to see him left out of the team. Imo he should be made vice captain and if he's still here in a few years time will be captain of HULL FC.
