Reckon the complication of getting a ticket will have put people off, and to be honest celebrating on the pitch/in the stands for an extended period on Saturday would have been enough for most fans.

We raced back from the South West - Second greatest day after Cardiff of course.

Likewise, had to come back via West Yorkshire too. Fun with the Rhinos fans at service station, got mooned by a whole minibusful on the way back on the M1.

Seriously, for me you have hit the nail on the head. This in-fighting is a great shame. Really Hull City fans and Hull FC fans, the respective clubs and councils should be working together to gain maximum benefit from both clubs success. Everybody can win from this with a little more maturity.

I think Allam has shot himself in the foot tonight with this promotion party, surely more people would of turned up to the city centre where they could of had a few drinks in the pubs instead of having to go all the way to the kc just to sit in the stands. The city centre would of had much more of a party atmosphere.

Totally agree, it should have been held this coming weekend with an open top bus parade down Holderness Road, Hessle Road, North Road and Anlaby Road to the City Hall. Mr Allam and City have let down their own fans and the people of Hull would have come out to celebrate in tens of thousands and not the 6K or so at the KC tonight, Mr Allam has let his personal feud with the City Council cloud his judgement and got it totally wrong tonight.

Tend to agree - he's tripped himself up in his haste to make an anti-council statement. The speed at which this has become a council/stadium issue has prematurely soured what should be a fantastic, celebratory week for City. Could have waited at least 48 hours before going on a "thieves and liars" accusation trail in the national press IMO. Taken the shine off what they've achieved a bit.

Still, 24,000 less folk than expected on our pitch in advance of Friday.

I wonder if an of the HDM or RH journalists will ask him to admit he got it wrong tonight?

I feel sorry for the Hull city players, coaching and back room staff they deserved better then they got tonight. This arguing and back biting is hurting city more then anyone else. Thousands have been denied the pleasure of an open bus top tour of the city followed by a city hall reseption.

For what, Mr Allam for the sake of your club start to build bridges because this will end badly if you do not. This was an opportunity missed and you may not get another as easy as excepting the civic offer from the CITIZENS OF HULL.
