Dont think thats the problem, McRae claims they are unable to make any further signings due to the Obst situation which leads me to believe there are no cap issues.

If Obst does move on then he can look at the situation again, sounds like paying Obst off is the problem.

Why would paying him off be the problem? We're not exactly short of money are we.

its not something i`m sure off, but if we paid him off would that payment count on the cap, saying that i believe Obst is on holiday at the moment and i would think when he returns all will be resolved and Obst will be on his way.

Why would Obst be up for that though? If he drags his heels, he can get his contract paid up by us and be earning a wage from wherever he ends up.

As we are one of the few clubs who can afford to pay transfer fees I think it's safe to say money isn't an issue.

I not why people can't understand that if we pay a player off, his salary still counts on the cap.

This money can be used to sign another player and looks as if we are already close to the cap anyway.

McRae seems to think bringing in another player is an option if/when Obst leaves, so obviously room on the cap.

if Obst leaves to take up another contract i assume there will be no pay off from Hull thus leaving money for another player, if Hull have to pay him off then there would be no funds available for another player.
thats how i see it anyway.
