| Litten should 100% play. He’s an exceptional young talent who will develop with regular game time. Shaul went alright last week and really excels in the effort areas but so does Davy. One is the future and one is sadly in his twilight years.
Similarly, I don’t think Dwyer has been good enough to keep playing him. He might play slightly better than DB or BM but it won’t benefit our long term strategy
I don’t think we will win but we’re now at the point where each week I think we could no matter who we play.

Agree with Hoy not being risked then Litten has to go in at FB based on performance, the energy he brings and the future/forward plan. Shaul did went OK for a player that's seen little rugby for such a long time but Litten for me is the better option.
As for Dwyer, for me his performance just haven't been good enough and he isn't consistent enough and has taken too many wrong options or gone the wrong side because he hasn't looked and is in headless chicken mode. Again as you say he's not part of the future and for his performances don't warrant inclusion into the 17, so would rather go with a player that is part of the clubs future plans.

| Have watched the game twice in the last week and Shaul didn't look very confident under the high ball, also throw an awful forward pass to Litten (which was picked up). Made a couple of good runs, but think Litten (who also wasn't great on the wing) is a better fullback than Shaul.

I know what you mean but they are still second in the table after a bad run of results.
They will come good again
Cant see Dwyer however enhansing Powells reputation if he is there next season.

With not a lot of game time under his belt, then there was the odd bit of rustiness. But his voice and organising from the full back position was first class, especially in the second half when Saints were camped in our half. He outshines even Hoy in that department.
I think Shaul could do with the gametime and I would go with him over Litten. If Litten gets the nod, then I'm sure he'll give his best. So it's a tough call for Smith to make.

They've got Saints then Wigan next up. I think they'll lose those 2. The way the table is, they won't be a comfy play off team for long.

| The Salford, rovers and Leeds results should provide as extra motivation for us today.
Win and we’re closing the gap with Leeds, lose and we’re lost in no mans land
I’m hoping the longer turn around and tough Leigh game will play in our favour.
We’ll put up a fight and I feel like either team to win a low scoring match by around 4

Happy Birthday, Shaully - go make it one to remember.
To me that would suggest he’s playing today.

| Very scratchy first half and done poor individual errors. We need to cut out the unforced errors, tighten up in the tackle and most importantly up the pace of the game. Catalan are slowing every aspect of the game down and we need to dictate the pace not get sucked in to the slow play.

| Weve being awful today. Got bullied and some of the plays when weve had the ball this second half have being poor.
I get they are given a free reign but some off the offloads have being poor.

lack of pace and power in the forwards has to be addressed for next season.
The team needs to start working on faster play the balls which seems to me to be the reason they are on the wrong end of six again calls.
Once again you cant fault the effort but we were dominated today

| Great effort, but at the end of the day, just not good enough, 3 key players out, losing Swift didn't help either, but need to add quality to replace players like Lovodua.

| Effort again in abundance. Wrong options taken but on another day they come off. Catalans certainly top team ATM. Swift looked in a bad way. IMO we are a work in progress but certainly going the right way. Hopefully not to many injuries for next week. Tried your best today lads just fallen short

| Effort was there just some dumb stuff for me. We get the ball and try some offloads when we should have being trying to change the momentum and territory battle. We gifted some very soft trys.
Not too disheartened, at least the mentality has gone where we crumble. Just gave up too much territory.
3 from 3 losses on Our League, we should tell them to leave us alone.

| We competed against a top side despite being weakened ourselves; after the early season debacle it would be grossly unfair to criticise a whole-hearted effort.
Was clear we lacked the punch to break out of our 20 and threaten, Dragons knew this and did what was necessary.
Think that will be the last we see of Lovodua, injury crises aside.
Was interesting to see Manu Ma’u doing for them precisely what he did for us - pretty much nothing; welded into his channel, strolling around, hands on hips. Personally believe he mentally retired on the original flight over from Aus given the beast he was for the Eels

| A really spirited display from Hull but second best today. We did well to come back from 6-20 after half an hour but Catalans were much the better team. Offloads killed us and we often struggled to get yardage.
We didn't throw the towel in though and I'm not disheartened. Catalans are top of the league for a reason. They play a spoiling brand of rugby but are big and fast.

| Not too disheartened with the loss. Catalans controlled the ruck all game. Their late offloads killed us too.
We seemed to chuck it about a fair bit in our half. Not sure if it was a deliberate tactic from Smith, all I know is it gave me heart palpitations all game.
Scrambled really well in the second half, but the damage was done in the first half with some soft tries conceded.
We've been crying out for a team to not throw in the towel for god knows how long. Smith has seemingly achieved this, we may miss the play off this season but it finally feels we are heading in the right direction.

| Effort was there in spades and can’t fault that. Too many individual errors today along with taking the wrong option.
Disappointed I some ways as thought could have beaten them today if we’d been less wasteful but not down hearted.
We let them dictate the pace and slow the game at every opportunity as they clearly didn’t want a quick game.
Thought McIntosh, Scott were excellent today along with Swift before his injury. Savelio, Ligi, Fash, Houghton & Cator worked tirelessly with Clifford and Trueman trying. Thought Lane also a better game coming on for Lovodua who was a poor selection for me.
Carlos had a game he will likely want to forget and Satae whilst doing so good runs for me, didn’t carry the ball enough.
Thought Catalan for a side sat at the top were disappointing and just came with spoiling tactics and slow the game.
Would like to see Staveley given an opportunity in the 2nd row moving on from today.
Pleased we are no longer throwing the towel in and caving in like seasons before and now are digging deep and fighting for each other to stay in games and give ourselves a chance.
Onwards & upwards.
