That kind of abuse may not have even happened, and no, I don't condone it. But I fail to see how homophobic comments in (some form of) private domain can be punished by the RFL. It hasn't brought the game into disrepute as it hasn't been reported as happening. If this alleged abuse has taken place I would urge Mr Childs to report it to the police.

Okee, Childs has a witness to what (allegedly) happened (in the form of the Match Comissioner & others), therefore denying anything out of order was said is not exactly a credible defense if things only half as bad as those rumoroed to have gone on actually occoured, hearsay in a court of law or not (and tbh I have my doubts that an RFL tribunal has the same status as a court of law).
