We have Obst as back up now and also Williams and then Nicklas towards the back end of the season, do we really need another back up? Plus there is a reason why no one else in SL wants him and whilst I don;t know what that is I am sure Agar will know all about him. I might be wrong like!

Probably a back rather than halfback.

I'm thinking more of an outside back too, we only really have Lyne and Turner.

Can't see it being a half or a FB, so that leaves a centre or a winger.

I said last night there's room for one more back, and to think 2 weeks ago people were adamant our recruitment was over!

Probably the same people who were slating the club for not bringing anyone in who then complain about the people we sign

Is it just me questioning why these players are being signed now surely if they are available now they were available before the season started.

Obst wasn't available until Wakey went into Administration

As much as I question the signings I don't think much can be done about the timing, it's possible we'd been after Obst for some time and the administration brought the fee down to a level we were happy with.

I think we were happy with what we had and was planning to see who becomes available mid-season. The Nicklas injury and the Tansey mess has forced our hand a bit.

I'd be happy with Murphy , wing or fullback and played centre on Saturday I think . My only concern is that it's not the experience we need in the backs atm.

I know what you mean, we need a that can run good lines and stong in D# but who i dont know

looking on the wakey board looks like it will be murphy who goes next but if we do sign him, and id be happy if we did. but were would he play? on the wing? centre? full back? when visa's are sorted without injuries were pretty covered brisc, sharp, lynne, whiting, yeamo and phelps, maybe he is the cover for centres but is too good to just have as a squad player. and were would this leave washy? fitz and westy covering 13, long, horne, obst and phelps covering the halves would a loan out somewhere be the best thing for him?

We will encounter injuries no doubt, plus I am a big fan of some competition and players earning their shirts, the more the merrier I say
