Possibly,but from what I have seen at the games I attended earlier in the season and matches on TV,I haven't been bowled over...Reminds me of Fitzgibbon when he was here,big reputation but didn't live upto it.

Why strange?....he hasn't impressed me at all,Hadley is a plodder and Thompson hit and miss.Turgut offers a lot more imo.

Another strange comment, Fitz was a great player for us, he did exactly what was expected of him, I don't think Frank has been brilliant, but has been good, just because he isn't scoring or setting up try's for fun, doesn't mean he hasn't been good.

I do think there is more to come from Frank though.

Not offence, but you can tell you haven't watched many games, Hadley is a good solid player, agree in some respect about Tomo, but they are both ahead of Turgut and rightly so.

How many times have you seen Turgut this season, I don't think he quite ready yet.

He wasn't great at all,he was slow,slowed the attack down and not in my top 13 overseas players.It was a pleasure to see a modern day legend play for us but he was arguably past it when he joined us.....just how I saw him and we all have opinions

Guess it depends on how many matches I saw the 2 seasons he was here..Maher,Manu,Mini yo name 3 was far better.

That's fair enough, but I prefer to judge them on seeing them every game this year.

Can't argue with the players mentioned, Maher was a better value for money player, not sure he was a better player though.

What's the reason for you stopping going

Whether that is the case or not, he doesn't look fit, and certainly hasn't done enough to keep his place. If, as I said before, we are going with Carlos at 6, then he should be playing there for the rest of the season.

We've supposedly offered a contract to gaskell but he's going to hudds as they've offered him another £30k a season. Good I say. Give carlos a go next year but if he's not cutting it we need to recruit a quality 6 for me

Would like to recruit a back up hooker if Litten isn't ready.

Don't see the point in signing a hooker to play in the reserves, waste of cap.

Until we know who's been retained (Abdul, HTW?) I suppose we don't know if we need half back cover or not.
Would love a Shaun Berrigan type player who can play well at half back or hooker. Just worrying should anything happen to Houghton, or we lose a half back to injury/loss of form.
Would Godinet be the type of player to look at?

If Houghton gets injured we won't have a specialist hooker. We have cover for every position apart from hooker which after half back is arguably the key position. If Litten is ready then problem solved if not who fills in? On the basis of your point Connor is a waste of cap as he will probably start in the U23's. I don't often disagree with you Dave but I do on this one!

Godinet would be a good fit cap permitting and he's not getting a game at Manly. He's Samoan as well

Connor is a totally difference situation as he plays a number of positions and I think he has said real chance of starting either at 6 or in the centre.

There is no chance of a new hooker displacing Houghton and he never gets injured, if he was to miss the odd game we could cover it internally. If it was long term we would have to make a mid season signing possible loan signing.

It would be a waste of cap space signing a player who would umlikely play many games, the same cannot be said about Connor.

The money would be better spent of retaining Abdul or HTW.

To do what, play in the reserves?

For the future and cover, is it really that hard to understand?
