I personally think you're being pernickity in your haste to come up with a definition that will exclude British players. You may as well add 'must be Australian' to your criteria, seeing as they are the only rugby league nation who [iconsistently[/i win anything of note.

Interestingly, I have thought of a few who probably do fit your criteria if you take it as read: Michael Withers, Jamie Peacock, Joe Vagana, Leon Pryce, Lesley Vainikolo, and Stuart Fielden. All won the world club challenge 3 times in the space of 5 years, but I wouldn't personally call any of them world class.

As you say, it's about opinion, but world class cannot be defined in any clear way. It's entirely subjective and impossible to substantiate, and certainly should not be dependent upon who you play for or what you win.

Personally I am not religious bit too subjective for me, however if we use your quote objectively my thoughts on that would be all gods children are entitled to drive/walk without fear of being killed by a drunk driver!

There does seem to be the strange assumption by some on here that expecting people not to break the law makes you some sort of unrealistic Mary Whitehouse type figure. Aye...my take is it appears if you break the law whilst piissed up it is just a mistake, strange really we have all being sloshed too many times to count yet still not broken the law and considered placing some-one's life in danger, even worse when it comes to RL players for me they earn a fair whack, not as if they cannot afford a bleedin taxi!!

I used to enjoy coming on and reading all the posts, but just recently it seems like this forum is turning into the HDM.

Yes ,there is some bickering and heated debate at times.A subject about a drink problem with a player is always going to set up divided opinions.
Divided opinions is what the forum is about,otherwise it wouldn`t be worth having.I do agree comments get out of hand sometimes, but surely we are all adult on here to cope with it.
As for "talking crap" ,that is usually an argument that it put up if you disagree with the statement,therefore the other person can argue that you are talking crap.
Lets just cut the crap,and stick with it.
