Surely enough factors of an incident can be the same for the incident as a whole to be classified as similar though?

surely if the penalty is awarded for a certain thing, the sin binning is default anyway?

It should be that simple. Consistency is not difficult if you don't allow the severity of an incident or the intent to cloud the judgement.

Grapple tackle around kneck by team A = sin bin
Grapple tackle around kneck by team B = sin bin

Violent grapple tackle around kneck by team A = sin bin
Accidental grapple tackle around kneck by team B = sin bin

Not difficult for referees to grasp really.

so why are there so many discrepencies with the decisions ? (and always have been !)

1. Referees incompetence/bias.
2. Lack of support from touch judges.
3. Need 2 referees to see more of an incident.
4. Not enough cash invested by the RFL in developing a pipeline of talented refs for the future.

Why foolish? Can't she just have been honest about Child being extremely poor? Or is there always some hidden agenda and, that word all the Agar haters love, 'spin'.

I happen to think he's a very talented touch judge, no lack of ability there.

If true it will believe me...The ref was poor no question there, however allegedly Agar verbally attacked him straight after the match (with plenty of independent witnesses in ear shot), allegedly he made the attack very personal as well.
Now I am all for complaining about refs, however I do not think any ref should be subjected to abuse from coaches or any-one for that matter.

I'd heard the same. All i will say is that if i used the type of language and personal assaults that Agar is rumoured to have used in my work place i'd be instantly dismissed.

This weekend in one of the televised games I saw someone get up from being tackled and throw an elbow with the ball in his same hand and couldn't believe it went unseen by three people, what more important thing could they have all been watching apart from what the ball was doing?

He said the ref was a disgrace etc and when he had saw him ref the KR v Salford he was dreading having him ref us. TBH Agar comes across not as a professional coach but a petulant child with his arm folded, it is worse than the Morgan dummy spit believe it or not

His actions in the last week are coming across more and more like someone on the edge of losing their job.

Nothing much that hasn't already been reported. He's clearly very angry and upset, and mentions that he'd been dreading having Child ref one of our games after watching the complete mess he made of the KR vs Salford match.

All has already been said really. Looked a very angry man, who was both disappointed and upset with the Child's performance. And rightly so IMO. Child was awful, and yes it may take the pressure off him temporarily but it will still go down as a loss under his reign.

Whether she was being honest or not, it is still a foolish move for the Chairwoman of a supposedly major club to give interviews like that to the press. It's bad enough the coach mouthing off, although I accept he was right to be angry, but the chairwoman doing it is just embarrassing.
