What a Grade A Dilloid Hudgell is. He has stated he doesn't have a problem with Paea moving on but clearly he does. I see no winner in this only a loser, I would also think this puts Paea & the rest of the team in a very uncomfortable position for the rest of the season. I can't see Sandercock being happy with his chairmans latest gobspat either as it just makes things difficult and unpleasant all round with the club.
As FC fans we are all aware of the same situations you only have to look at Tickle & Briscoe as an example from this season thats just the way it goes.

So where was Hudgells conscious when he was repeatedly asked by the media about Cooke when it was already signed and sealed yet he kept saying he had had no contact with him or his father. Yet again smacks of a bitter man and totally unprofessional, plus a cynic would say a diversionary tactic from financial issues of his club and lack of investment coming in.

Neil Hudgell's definition of "Over The Odds" anything HKR can not afford.

HKR attempting to make/stay in the 8 and he comes out and basically undermines one their best players, shows how he can not resist a opportunity to have a poorly disguised dig at FC.

As a Rovers fan, exactly what have I got to be ashamed of with regard to the excellent Mickey Paea moving to Hull?

On topic, he was good last year, great this. As you're all aware you've got yourself a top player. I sometimes think his ability to retain his feet and steal a couple more metres in the tackle actually slows the play down but the fans will love it.

His bullocking runs will give the team and the atmosphere a lift.

He's put it on the line whilst at Rovers and owes us nothing, it's galling but you've paid his worth, that's how pro sport works. I know O'Meley has gone well for you guys but at their respective stages of their careers I really think Paea will be an upgrade for you.

I don't think many Rovers fans (other than perhaps the ones on Twitter who are suggesting Paea should be strung up/dropped/given to us now) need to be ashamed. They haven't done a lot wrong and some are disappointed that one of their star players is leaving. Remember how annoyed we were when Carvell left?

Go read the last few pages of the thread about him on their board. Theyre almost all sticking up for Hudghill saying hes right when Paea himself has done nothing wrong but provide good service to HKR and imo wanting to keep the move quiet so it doesnt sour his time with them. Hes behaved well in all this, shame the same cant be said about the rovers chairman and the fans

Paea hasn't done anything wrong either, He's told the club he won't be renewing and because of who he's signing for he's choosen not to announce it. Hudgell doesn't like the fact he's signed for us and spat his dummy out

A very good signing if confirmed (officially). From our point of view we needed a replacement for ogre and he fits the bill perfectly, probably even better IMO.

Hudges comments are always going to be controversial because from where I look at it from, his yearning for adoration by his fellow fans often over-rides other concerns; he seems to have an attitude of "how can I look best in this situation" borne from his love of the club and its fans/his mates. I have the same love for my club and at times blind adoration is of benefit to a club (continual purchasing of season passes through the bad times for example), but at times can make you look like a bit of a d!ck.

Stuff like that may slow us down but it's good for the mental battle with the opposition, always good to see defenders go "oh "

Plus it doesn't slow much down if they can get a good offload away ala Willie Manu Good Friday 2011 for yeamo's try from nowhere

Slow play of the ball off guaranteed 8/9/10 metres aa carry is worth it. Each forward brings something different and have some good fast play of the balls anyway green, Ellis, Pitts, have great p t b speed.
Plus mickey will tie up extra defenders with his sheer size n off load threat. Could be heaven for Danny n Aaron next yr.

he came to the uk with the intentions of playing regular and then trying to make it at at a top club, just like moa did, unfortunatly for rovers, it seems his ambitions cant be met in red and white!!

Not bothered if he is good enough for the NRL,been one of the props in the league this, in his prime and just the type of we need.
