I heard St Helens send their academy to a NRL pre season training camp, this is probably one main ingredient, that their youngsters are physically & mentally ready to play 1st grade.
Regarding us, we look unfit, I'd seriously look at replacing/ adjusting our fitness methods, finances permitting.

While we beat Salford at home, he was also sloppy in that game with errors, he's been consistently sloppy so far, really needs to harpen up his concentration, I like him as a player, he's just out of form and we can't keep trying to play players into form, use the squad and it might breed some consistency.

I'd bring Wynne back in personally, very unlucky to lose his place when in good form. Same with Mitch, Hodgson has the conundrum now do you pick players for their name and rep as in Carlos and Griffin, or players in form in Mitch and Wynne......

But to drop him (if true) and keep Reynolds in the squad, at least Griffin offers some threat going forward and makes metres and although his defence was poor on Wood, he has been pretty strong so far in defence this season, certainly better than Reynolds IMO.

Certainly too many errors, but still currently warrants a place in the squad and probably on the bench.

what about that totally shoite kick from Reynolds that went dead when it was so easy to keep it in goal ??

Agree id of left Reynolds out too and played Lovodua back at 6.

Brown, Fash and Sao can all cover loose forward.

I see Tony Smith is leaving at the end of the season, I guess all his goals have now been achieved.

Something must have seriously gone amiss in the last couple of days for him to come out with todays announcement. It'd been hinted he hasn't been happy behind the scenes so something must've seriously pushed him over the edge.

Huge loss for Rovers, a great coach who has done a brilliant job with not the most talented of groups.

Could go one of either way now for the remainder of the season, they'll either rally to make sure he finishes on a high or collapse in a whimper.

Heard from a reliable source that Sandercock is returning to finish off what he started. Watch this space.

If AP wants to entice fans back to the stadium, this would be a big statement of intent..

After watching the press conference I'm staggered he hasn't quit with immediate effect. How can he continue to work with Lakin when it appears there is so much vitriol between them. Rovers haven't released a statement yet which is telling.
