I really can't see why Tahu would improve us and I would certainly not be "over the moon" if we signed him.

He will be 34 in October and has spent most of this NRL season playing second row in the reserve grade.

When we sign an ageing international outside back it rarely works out well e.g. Sing, Blacklock.

He would be a waste of money and a waste of an overseas spot IMO.

I would say that Blacklock did work out well (and he was only 28 when he joined us and 30 when he retired) but otherwise pretty much spot on

I liked Blacklock and Sing. They were both good honest players. However Blacklock hardly ever got a decent pass and by the time Sing joined us he had lost most of his pace and was chased down all too easily.

We definitely got good use out of Blacklock, our passing deficiencies notwithstanding. Scored plenty of tries for us. Sing less so.

Either way both were rather younger than Tahu.

I would rather we went for a younger player rather than an ageing international. Someone like Colin Best. Or Talanoa.

If we are still looking around the NRL, id prefer we looked for Hooker, must be some decent young hookers around Toyota cup that would like a chance in super league. Most nrl teams only play with the 1 hooker so must be some quality not getting 1st team opportunities

Has a cup winners medal too, and would have had a GF appearance if he hadn't been too injured to carry on the next season.

There was a lot of banter at the time but he was a pretty good acquisition by the club and his tries to games ratio is excellent.

Perhaps he's ready for a comeback?

Blacklock scored some great tries for us,full length at home against against Saints were he walked the last 10 metres and Wire away in the play offs were it was expected Andrew Johns was gonna tear us a new back passage. he was a good finisher especially from distance.

Blacklock was a great player with a fantastic rugby brain, who can forget that he stepped in to play full back in Cardiff and created a try from nothing with a superb pass off the deck too.

Indeed. He scored 35 tries in 51 games which is actually a better try scoring ratio than Colin Best had at the club. He was great for us.
