My spirits have been raised this season,despite the ins and outs,injuries etc,P.G. has still come up with the goods.Having endured the Agar era there is now a light at the end of the tunnel.(And no,its not a train!)

& @ Wakefield he has been given a 'free-hand'.

Having said that @ present I am pleased with our coaching staff & what they have achieved so far.

seems very odd timing to me, PG has done well in his first season but we've won nothing, wouldn't have been looking to extend so early in honesty, not disappointed, just find the timing a bit odd, we were prmoised players and we get a coaching extension....?

I agree with what your saying regarding the timing, just don't really get the bit in bold. We have announced Holdsworth today with another signing rumoured to be announced later in the week. IMO the Gentle announcement is just a bonus.

Holdsworth is a disappointment to me, am hoping to be proven wrong.

That's fair enough but who would you rather have brought in?

Oh come on! Who were you expecting the club to sign? Holdsworth is a very good player who has done well in a poor Salford team, who will do alot better in a good Hull FC team! Top signing for us imo.

Obviously the club are really happy with PG so why not sign him up for an extra year to prevent any unsettling speculation regarding other jobs.

Holdsworth's class and just what we need, played more NRL games than Chase, Dobson and Green.
Not many scrum half's better than him in the comp, Dureau, Brough and possibly Dobson. Can't think of anyone else.

Awesome news, I'm over the moon..! PG's honesty in his interviews, coaching techneque, and clear vision coupled with what seems like genuine love for the club can only be a bonus for us.. getting him settled into a long term contract will hopefully keep the NRL and the rest of SL away...

You will be proven wrong IMO, read somewhere 7th in try assists this season and that's playing in a very poor team, genuine playmaker and a good kicking game and can play at 6 or 7.

Back on thread, very happy with Gentle's 1 year extension, seen enough already to convince me he's the coach to achieve AP's ambition

the lad has been one of the stand out players this season in a pretty shiite salford side and every time i saw the kid even before he was rumoured to be coming to fc i thought how good he would look under a good coach with class around him.
