| I don't mind who we lose so long as we improve the quality of the squad next year.
Has there been a list published of the players we haven't offered deals to? or does the lack of one mean everyone has been offered a deal?
I'd be amazed if rovers were looking at litten as their 1st choice hooker next season. Plenty of promise but not sure he's up to SL week in, week out. I can see them going for cunningham if he's OOC to be 1st choice with litten as back up

| As stated earlier, thinks it’s more important who we bring in than who we may potentially lose.
We’ve kept everyone we’d hate to lose, and if we’re going to bring a higher standard of player in we’re going to lose a few.
In our not too distant past we’ve picked up players big clubs have discarded, while they bring in someone who improves their team. Maybe that’s just what we’re doing now?
Smaller clubs will pick up some of our players by offering them far more than we are willing to.
I’ll judge us by the recruits, not the leavers. AP seems to be making the right noises so far.

| We're likely to be losing ellis, washbrook (although he hasn't played anyway but is an option) mini and manu from the back row. Add in westerman and hadley and that's a lot of people to replace. Only savelio and lane already contracted so I'd guess the club were looking to keep westrman and hadley and add in 2 more.
If westerman and hadley go then the club have to find a couple of players who are as good or better which might be a challenge.

| I think we will go Shaul 1, Connor 6, Sneyd 7 Kelly 13 next season that's why we have not broke the bank on deals for Hadley or Westerman, when it's a hard game we will start with Savelio or Ellis at 13 with Kelly coming off the bench.

Surely Ellis will retire for good at the end of this season, especially if we do the double

Everyone knows who lives in Bonaire World. Perhaps you’re blinkered when it comes to centres because you have a track record of slating ours, Yeaman anybody? Griffin could score a hat trick and walk all over the opposition but you'd still slate him if he knocked on in the same game

Exactly what I said this morning. We look good with 3 ball handlers in the side, and we need Connor to have his hands on the ball. With the above side, we can keep Shaul away from the pivot position and he can just be on everyone's shoulders, especially if we are going to massively strengthen the pack - Shaul on the end of some offloads could be fantastic

We did look good with all 3 involved , but it’s what happens if one of them is missing for a length of time , do we start moving everybody about again or change our structure .

This is why I think we do keep either Hadley or Westerman, which I expect to be the Hadley.
So I expect us to sign at least 3 backrowers maybe 4, a prop and a winger.
Glenn
Jones
Mellor
Evans
Another NRL forward
English winger (Swift, Broughton etc)

| Just checked the HDM update re Out of Contract and no mention of Jez Litten - does that mean resigned or is leaving which would I my opinion be a loss given we seem to be going for a stronger pack where his run form dummy etc would be a real asset

| On the assumption Faraimo and Naulago are kept I don't think we need another winger. We have Dawson in reserve and maybe even Shaul if Connor is first choice FB.
Huddersfield fans rate Mellor but think he'll stay.

Not blinkered at all
Yeaman was stealing a living and Griffin is way down the list of centres in Super league if you care to take a look at other clubs centres.
In fact when Connor goes back to centre and Tuimavave is fit then Griffin is third choice anyway at the club.
As stated before i would be happy to see him given a run in the second row with the idea of him coming off the bench as an impact player.

Easy to forget MDJ given his rotten luck getting injured so early in the season. He's signed up for next season and IMO deserves a fair crack of the whip before we go looking elsewhere.
What a find Ratu has been so far, never expected him to be half as good as he is. Totally fearless.

Knew i'd seen something somewhere about a player in a smiliar situation to Ratu.
England RU called up a Fijian kid who was in the army, looks like he was just 'on leave' until he wanted to go back into the army.
Doesn't really answer the quota question, I would've thought if you serve in the British army you are classed as British.
You also get dispensation for signing player from outside the sport, maybe Ratu is in the category. Like Luther Burrell who has signed for Wire.
[i"I picked up the phone and the person on the other end said, 'This is Gary Gold from Bath Rugby'," says Rokoduguni, who is effectively on secondment with Bath but still lives in army digs in Warminster with his wife and son. "I was like, 'yeh, right', and hung up.
"Luckily, he phoned up my regiment boss, who was a massive Bath fan. It was only then I thought, 'right, this is serious'. Bath offered me a two-week trial and I impressed enough to be offered a contract. So I went and played rugby. And if that hadn't gone anywhere, there was always a plan B - army life."[/i

| The security ,of a good Army pension might mean Ratu only stays this season?
We might need to make him a big offer to tempt him into “civvy st “ ?

| Big list of players yet to be resolved according to the wail
Not yet determined: Chris Green, Dean Hadley, Jack Logan, Sika Manu, Mark Minichiello, Mickey Paea, Jack Sanderson, Danny Washbrook, Joe Westerman.
No one not being offered a contract. Litten not on the list so maybe has already signed for the dobbins

Could play Griffin there, anywhere in fact, as long as he is not in the centres as he is clearly rubbish.

Army pensions aren’t what they used to be, I’m not sure if commonwealth soldiers get full pay/pension and his chances of getting killed are a little lower in hull than Iraq.

My mate did 12 years so he gets half pension said it works out about £200 a week you have to do 21 years to get a full pension I think
