Disagree with that a bit, someone like George Best or George Weah in football where world class but never had the opportunity to play at the highest level due to place of birth. Likewise theres been some pretty average players who have played in great teams that have looked world class but in another team would look average. Just need to see how many man utd players look average once they leave the club.
In RL I'd say Adrian Morley has been world class, maybe a year or so past his best now. Arguably Sean Long was in his day and had he played in the oz side he would have certainly shone.

So the best player in the world is only world class if the team he plays for is?
Strange logic

so say for sake of argument that all Australian Fullbacks were worse than English fullbacks (I know this isnt true but believe in me)
Even though at club level an English fullback would always be played before an Australian fullback,
because the Australian fullback played consistently for Australia, he would be world class, and the English fullback, who at club level was rated higher, would not be?

no, because their performance in the side wouldn't be world class, it's really not that difficult a concept (to me)
for example, Horne played wing for GB, not because he was world class, but because he was all that was available.

Let me make it easy for you, as you seem to be struggling. The conversation directly related to Brett Seymour drink driving, at which point you mentioned how everyone gets into 'a bit of mischief' when they've had a drink. Now, either you were equating drink driving with being 'a bit mischievous', or your comment was irrelevant to the discussion at the time.

Surely your better if you appear world class playing against the best team.
If you play for the best team in the world and only ever play against inferior opposition, it is easier to play well.
I know it's only your opinion, I'm trying to understand the strangeness of it ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

Not a very good example because R.Horne would not be World Class whatever position or Country he played for.
Alternatively he may have been perseived to have been world class if he played for Australia in his hayday as he would have run rings around everybody due to the rest of the team being collectively superior. This though does not make him world class.
Whereas Ellis, Morley and Graham are world class because they are clearly better than forwards playing for NZ and Aus even when the team is being dominated.

I don't condone drink driving and I don't class drink driving been 'a bit of mischief'_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________When it came to the little bit of mischief, he obviously liked a drink, still does but been a young drunk rugby player its a lot different here then it is over there...I've been in town and seen a lot of p@ssed up players getting up to all sorts and you don't seen it splashed all over the mail or the national papers, as I said their like celebs out there... Do that make it any clearer?

as are most things, it's a bit like discussing religion, it's best avoided because those that believe do and those that don't, don't, neither side will ever offer any facts that change the opposing sides opinion.
other than on Graham, where I am right, he's a moaning windbag!

I'm not the biggest fan of Graham but I think he has proved in the last series that he is one of the best props in the world at the moment i.e World class. Just for his shear work rate at offloading, yes he has flaws but being a ginger to$$ bag doesn't effect his game.
Just to keep on topic
Brett Seymour will have my full support until he breaks the clubs rules. Everyone likes a drink and I've made a tit of myself on numerous occasions but drink driving is not acceptable. That said I'll guess that we will all know somebody who has been done for drink driving, I certainly do and they have learned from there mistakes. They all still get pi$$ed though ![DRUNK icon_biggrin.gifRUNK:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_drunk.gif)
