Interesting article , would the 50 redundancees concur ?'"
Very interesting that two things strike me this morning firstly although Mr Allam manages the tenancy of Our club at the KC he is not the owner of the stadium yet and still he bangs on about the fact that we are 'Enjoying the benifits of the aquisition of Hull City' How exactly? He then states that despite us being a joint tenant of the ground that he manages for the Council (at present) he has never made an attempt to attend a game at the KC in fact he proudly states that Sundays jolly with Hudge and the leader of the Council was the first game of RL he has attended. He goes on about Rovers supporters and how wonderful they are perhaps he should ask neutrals like David Burns about the difference between the noise generated by 14,000 FC fans compared with that of 23,000 City fans! But he wouldn't know he's never been to an Fc game although as our custodian of the Stadium he has every right to be there and should you would feel have been at least once.
Then he states in tonights Mail that 'When you look at Hull KR they have been deprived of many things They have to pay for their pitch, ground improvements and staff ticketing etc. Hull FC being a user of the KC is itself a good contribution to their overheads which HUll KR havn't got' But we get that in exchange for an agreed rental payment (and half our gate income over 7,800 ish)
And as for poor old down at heal cant make ends meet rovers? Well whose fault is that then? Could it be something to do with the fact that when both RL clubs were offered the chance to play at the KC it was the vision and business sense of Shane Richardson who decided to take the risk despite gated of under 6,300 and took the plunge whilst the small minded small club attitude of Rovers turned it down because they would 'Never fill it'.
Just my observations of course and perhaps I have go this all wrong sand we have in our midst the greatest Philanthropist this City has seen since Tommy Ferens but I am very suspitious of what is unfolding here and what the Council is actually up to!
As for our club we are right to stay stum, let Hudge enjoy the obvious limelight he craves and wait and watch!

My thoughts exactly. What could a loan/gift of even £500k get us? Players? nope - salary cap/quota issues. New coach? Nope - whatever your thoughts, the board are happy with what we have. Improvements to the KC? No need, the SMC would take care of that.
So why do we need that extra money?

| Does my memory deceive me, or did the HDM proclaim Lloyd as the "Messiah" before that went pearshaped?
And didn't we and City decide that it was a "good thing" at the time, until the facts emerged?
As Kosh has said, its deja vu all all over again.
City and Rovers should be very sceptical about all this

| If Allam takes over the KC, keeps our lease the same and builds world class training facilities that we can use, then it would be OK.
It's up to our BOD to work with the council (and Allam) to make sure we are fully protected if this deals goes through.

| Just listened to the Allam Radio interview and he talked loads of rubbish, he doesn't have a clue what he is talking about, in regards to the stadium.
He must have had some excellent people on his business team to make the money he has.

My favourite bit was his rambling diatribe regarding how sportsmen and woman don't have asbo's and that everyone involved in sport is of some great character!! He clearly hasn't been introduce to Mr Cockeyne as yet.

I honestly think he is a nice guy who is trying to help the sports teams in Hull and has no motives, but he is nuts and hasn't a clue what he he talking about.

The only way I'd be interested in his money is if he bought out the remainder of the clubs lease at the KC and allowed us to play there while we had our own ground built..

First of all he has given Rovers a intrest free loan, fair play to him, maybe he offered Hull the same, but to be fair we dont need a loan, so it would be pointless and risky.
If Allam does get the KC, as long as council look after us (which I think they will) and make a good lease for us, it will do us no harm.
The man isn't looking to make money out of the sporting clubs in Hull, so doubt he would increase our rent etc.
I'd be worried if he bought our club though, we don't know enough about him to allow he to be involved in the day to day running of the club.'"

No he hasn't listen to his interview form last night, 17th minute.
His first word's "It is a Soft loan".
Getting boring now saying the same thing over and over again.

It's a loan. Do you even understand what 'return' means in financial terms? A clue - it doesn't mean 'to give back'.

Isn't a soft loan a loan that in effect doesn't have to be repaid unless the company can afford to repay it, its used to help businesses either get going or to keep going. If the company starts to turn a profit they then will pay it back, if they don't it becomes a grant and never has to be paid back.

He should worry all sports fans in the city as he either has ulterior motives or no clue what he's doing. But mostly this morning I'm bored with correcting numbnuts whose understanding of the English language appears to be extremely limited.

| The crux for me is this. Were the stadium to be sold to Allam (Hull City) then however watertight our lease might be seen to be (even if renegotiated as part of the deal), then as Allam's (Hull City's) tenants our future would immediately be inextricably linked to the success or failure of Allam's (Hull City's) sport's village venture and Hull City as a football club. If (as is entirely possible - some may say probable) City do not have a solid premiership future but instead yoyo around the lower leagues then the financial burden of all the borrowing could well become too much and the venture may well fail. We could have a really impressive, watertight tenancy deal but it will count for diddly squat if we turn up at our village training facility to find the gates chained up by bailiffs, or better still the KC turnstiles are locked on matchdays for the same reason.
Thinking back a few years it would be as secure as us having left the Boulevard and moved in to Boothferry Park as tenants. That would be the effective situation we would be in.
I don't believe that the KC sale is by any means a forgone conclusion - not at all - but for those who might entertain the thought that if it were to happen a slick tenancy deal would protect us then maybe think again.
