| Just heard from a very good source that Tickle is definitely leaving us at end of his contract. Probably expected but nonetheless. His kicking has been top notch of late and will be missed, has won us games this year.

Gutted. Agar alluded to Tickle's children being in the North West and the decision being heavily influenced by personal factors on RH last night. Will be a massive miss for us. The important thing as has been said on here before though is to avoid another Carvell situation, so at least now the recruitment process can move on and Danny can leave us with big thanks and on good terms.

To be honest, I'm more worried about his goal kicking than anything else. We have options in the back row and, as good as Tickle is, we can cover his absence in that regard. I suppose Fitz could take over if he's staying, but we'll be struggling if he gets injured.

i don't think we have any spare quotas next year with fitz & berro probably staying so we'll most likely sign an english forward and also a back from ???

Why, he was the poorest FC player on the pitch on friday night?
Keep Fitz, get rid of Berrigan and bring in a world class centre on Berros money.

| Firstly you'd have to pay berrigan off so that won't work.
Secondly name a world class centre avaliable?

| you forget that if berro goes - we need to sign a hooker to compliment houghton or incase he picks up an injury
berro and houghton work well IMO and it seems to be a tidy combo that doesn't need to be messed with

| Fitzgibbon is staying.
I don't know what's happening with Berrigan, but you could understand it if he decided to go back home to be with his family. If so, I'd move to sign Matty Smith or Luke Robinson to play as our second hooker and be a back up 7, then use a quota spot on a centre or a winger from the NRL.

| So, Tickle is leaving and Fitz and Hall are OOC, we have no quota spot, so we're looking for a back that can kick a goal! But we'll get Westerman!
When's Pat Richards contract up?

There's a lot of things that have to happen though, Berro still has a year left and Luke Robinson has 4 years left at Hudds i think. Coupled with the salary cap limit going up in Oz and the exchange rate it seems unlikely.

robinsons contracted, smiths rumoured to be signing a new Salford deal.
A winger from the NRL? Hasn't been very succesful.
The problem with looking at he nrl is the top players, even regular first team players are earning very good money due to the exchange rate.
Realisticly the only players willing to come will be the ones at the end of their careers who believe they can extend it a year or two by coming to sl.

| Lynne might get a chance, think it maybe another year of fringe play for him in 2011.
I'm expecting our wingers in 2011 to be the same as this year, Calderwood and Briscoe.

| an english forward would be a necessity by the sounds of it to replace cusack
i'm a fan of luke robinson and sam obst, and i would like to think either of them would do a good job regarding injury cover, or impact off the bench
i would like to see us recruit towards getting better cover for 6 & 7 since it may just win us a few extra games in a season. we shouldn't have to play washy there and IMO we'd be loads better with a specialist to cover
obviously Long & Horne are first choice but they are slightly injury prone these days

| Obst is a overseas player.
I can't see why a young half back would come to us as cover if there's a clb willing to give them a start.
Hopefully Nicklas will be full time next year, closely followed by Williams

Sorry, got to disagree with that! Best & Blacklock are/were 2 of the best wingers we've had in recent years & Sing wasn't too shabby in his first season so I'd hardly consider importing NRL wingers to be unsuccessful ![Question icon_confused.gif:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_question.gif)

NRL imports are alot more expensive than the likes of reece lynne, tom briscoe, dennis tuffour and craig hall, and even calderwood
we could spend money better elsewhere. IMO we are ok for wingers next season- the youngsters are due some game time
