| Quote ="PAUL M"No he doesn't, I think the tiome has come sadly. It was weird hearing the crowd finally turn on Friday and I think Agar is really feeling the pressure right now.
[iI just hope the right appointment is made, even if we have to go with temporary coaches until the end of the season before we can get the right man then so be it[/i.'"
In a way that concerns me more than the fact Agar still has the job. Now the fans are really starting to turn, like Friday, it'll only get worse if results and performances stay as they are so it appears it's not the beginning of the end for him but it's his replacement that concerns me now. If we stay British, Noble aside, there's no one you'd put at the top of the list and I'm sure any quality/proven Aussie coach would want to leave to set up over here.

| I was angered when I read Lee's comments. It just about sums it up for me really. The players have absolutely no motivation, desire to win or any real drive. I wonder were that comes from! He might as well have said" Agars a pushover and we can all do as we please cos we all get paid everyweek whether we earn it or not".

| Anyone remember Radford spouting similar claptrap in the HDM at the end of the 2009 season? 'Not Rich's fault, players will be having a good look at themselves, things will be different soon etc etc'. It didn't wash with a lot of people back then, but 18 months on the club just look like they are talking the fans for fools.
And the 'buzzing' comment is just appalling.

| weve still got a chance to make the top 6, that prety much sums up why this club needs a clear out and some proper ambition from the board becasue that is just not good enough. weve gone from at the beginging of the season going for top 4 now to we might still get top 6 that simply isnt good enough.

| It's a typical Hull Daily Mail story, you'd expect nothing different although the 'buzzing' comment is unfortunate.

| The comment for me was when he said its down to the players as it wasnt Agar who didnt pass when one on one with the fullback. I only remember that been Sharp, so team spirit is down as he is picking out people rather than just saying the usuall "Dropped balls and Penalties " were down to the players. Now if there is unrest then Agar needs to sort it and QUICK.

Yep, and I would think there will be a few ostriches who answer to the rallying call.
The 18th man and all that.
I doubt that there will be any club apology to the fans first.

| this is my first post, radford can say what he wants and so will rule tomorrow but ive had enough now ive been going for 27 years, this is the most boring team ive seen i dont mind loseing games if players give everything they have. you need one leader we have 5/6 trying to do it, westerman should be l/f obst s/h horne at 6. long should play in under 20,s to prove hes fit if players dont support the ball carrier then drop them. show us some set moves please i sit in west stand and i am fed up of hull having a scrum near our line and the team being in scared of l/f taking ball out of the scrum and going on the blind side. we have many players who are just ok players i.e washbrook, dowes, radford, yeaman, and re radford lots of hull fans love you for hitting bailey i dont all that happen was you got send off bet you felt hard sat in the sheds while we lost. good teams do this to hull i.e senior on luaki he does it behind refs back we react penaly leeds we lose game again a good coach/player would let scoreboard do the talking. sorry long post but a lot to get of my chest

| This is how it is , once and for all !
When you work for an employer you will , generally be assigned a 'boss' for want of a better word. This boss will ensure you comply with your duties that match your remuneration. Your boss can be strict or slack , a good mate or a confidante . The boss can be a iron fist in a velvet glove or a complete that you have no respect for. Your boss may let you get away with anything and then some are like hawks and watch your every move. Some motivate the hell out of you because they take a great interest in you and your career. All in all the best bosses command respect and even adoration. Employees don't usually leave companies , they tend to leave managers. Managers also tend , over time , to get better pay the better job they do.
As a manager myself , in both sport and business , I realise that to have respect and have people 'play' for you I have to be the best I can. Rich Agar may be the best he can be but that best may not be good enough.
You know when you have a nice boss that is a lovely guy with great morals but just can't get you to do what he/she wants. They dont have the ability to create desire or passion but rather just an ability to get you to do the minimum amount of work where you know that you don't get sacked for that basic performance.
My feeling is Rich cannot get his team to 'die' for him ala Mourhinho. His team also play in a way that suggests they are not afraid of the consequences. Usually there will be a group of employees that mix together and form a 'clique' where between them they understand they don't perform well all the time but feel comfy with each other knowing they are all guilty of this every now and then. This type of group can be mature and influential and have a core within the group as well . They influence new starters and don't like staff who try their best 100% as it makes them feel uncomfortable as it means their own mediocre performance can be put under scrutiny.
My hunch , which is really almost my opinion , is that Mr Agar is a soft but nice boss who cannot get any staff to bust a gut for him , never mind go into battle. That is where the problem lies .
He needs to go and the staff need a leader , but a leader that strikes fear and motivation and inspiration and accountability for poor performance. If poor peformance isn't stamped on then it breeds.

| Many good point son here and frankly reading what Radford has to say just makes this whole process a farce. To say something like "we will have to put in a good performance on Sunday" is taking all of us for mugs!
Fook that Radders you and the rest need to put in good performances from now until the last game of the season. Playing well on Sunday won't wipe out the shocking start to the season!
Frankly you, your colleagues, the coaches and the board are taking the out of the 18th man and taking us all for a ride!!!!

Totally agree with you - given that Agar has been a good servant to the club though I still feel like he has something to offer a new head coach as a number 2....perhaps not from a motivational point of view but from knowing the strengths/weaknessess of the playing staff.
