An ex colleague of mine who's a Leeds fan is now based in Sydney and he watches the Tigers a fair bit as Gaz Ellis is still his hero. Once I heard we were signing their fullback, I asked him for reports as and when he watched them. His latest comment via email a few weeks back went 'providing his hamstrings hold up, McKinnon should well and truly rip it up in Super League....you have a right player on your hands'.

Mckinnon had another shocker according to report in RL Express.

I tweeted Steve Mascord about McKinnon a few weeks back and he replied saying he could be sensational in Super League.

then he tweeted, that he's shizzer in the nrl tho...

His last two games have been poor, before that he was playing very well.

I think he'll go alright for us but it's Seymour who I'm really excited about.

How's Adlous going at York? Is he looking up to it?

Mckinnon will have a massive impact in SL, but I agree with earlier post , Seymore will be a sensation and the tries will follow

If both Fitz and Lauaki leave i can see Washbrook given a further year.He isn't a 6 or 9,but in his best positions(SR-LF)seems to go well.

Let's get it right for when he arrives mate.

Let's give Seymour A chance first.. Takes time to settle in a team.. Look at Matty Orford at Bradford... One of the finest number 7s... To zero.

If he'd signed for a decent team he'd still be here imo. Don't think he knew what he was coming in to.

at the moment id presume were losing fitz and lauaki with not a huge amount of cap and not overseas spots left to replace these dosent look great the moment

We've played the last few games without Fitzy and Lauaki's quality is debatable at times and we haven't looked too bad (albeit against rather poor teams in Wakey/Salford)

Surely you've realised by now that we only ever play well against poor teams. If we come out top over Leeds it will be because they played badly.

They were bad when we lost to them at the start of the season but are a whole lot worse now. Home advantage may help them on Friday but will be a major disappointment if we lose to them in the cup

Can't see it being true but if it is then we would need to lose moa and lauaki plus get obst off quota.

I heard this one a couple of seasons ago must be past it now. Nailed on then. Although it could be rovers wouldn't be the first time they mixed us up.

Pomeroy is not even close to being past it.

Next year I think our starting backrow will be Manu & Westerman at second row, with Tickle at loose. This is how we've been set up in recent weeks and it's working quite well. Tickle being used in the same way as Paul Gallen, or Ben Harrison at Warrington (for a SL example), acting as a third, more mobile prop.

We need an experienced backrower to come off the bench. Washy could be that player (let's not use his performances at halfback to judge him in the backrow), should he be resigned. We also have Mike Burnett & Liam Kent, I wouldn't mind us making a signing though, but let's be realistic, there's not many available.

With regards to props, hopefully we'll resign Moa & Dowes, as well as the already signed O'Meley & Radford. These four are a pretty solid set of experienced props, who compliment eachothers styles IMO.

Aldous & Green both have Championship experience now, which has hopefully improved them both, so let those two fight it out for the 5th prop position.

Yes, once all re-signings hav been made we won't have much space on the cap to replace Lauaki & Fitz, but I don't think we need to have.
