I was suggesting that it's highly unlikely a 20 year old with their career ahead of them in the NRL would move to the UK, we may well have offered him a contract, but I very much doubt PG honestly thought he'd take it up.

Well we didn't get Chase and if we don't get Prince it looks like we will have an awful lot of room on the salary cap.

AP said we were going to spend the full cap but there doesn't seem to be anyone to spend it on.

Do we hold on to our money in the hope that someone becomes available or do we make an offer to McGoldrick who will provide us some cover in the halves and FB? Its not just Seymour and Horne's form that worries me but also the fact that Horne appears to be increasingly injury-prone and the rumours about Seymour's fitness.

Lets be honest even with just those 3 in the halves its still a massive improvement on last season and when you factor in the other signings or squad it looking good add in Prince or Miller and it would be even better

Not sure what else Pearson can do, he has tried to sign us a few top players but it hasn't worked out for various reasons, he has still improved us on and off he field massively in just over a year.

The fans have to back and trust him, or we could potentially lose him and then we could be in serious trouble.

If he is serious about taking us forward and getting into semi finals and finals then he needs better quality in the halves. Yes holdsworth is an improvement but seymour and Horne just dont cut it, you cannot expect holdsworth to carry the team by himself.

I agree, but as I have said, what else can he do? He has really tried to get us another top HB and still might, my point is that even if we don't sign another HB before the season, the fans should still back I'm and buy a season pass.

We should still be close to 10000 passes IMO, we had over 8000 last year so should improve on that easily on the back of what he has done.

agree 100%, whilst some of the signings are underwhelming we seem to be (just about) getting the best of what's available (and sensible in terms of what money they [or their club want)

I really don't see an issue. There are at least 5 NRL reserve team halves with similar potential to Miller. i'm sure if we offered Miller's contract to each of them - one of them would come!!

Trying to work out why people have written off the possibility of Miller just because of the article in the HDM it's not as though they have the best record of getting stories right is it. if you look in the aussie press they are saying Potter is fighting to keep hold of Miller.

I can't see us going for him unless we had been told we could talk to him and that they would release him.

I'd imagine him and Bomber would have had that in their intentions when travelling over there.

I'm going to go down the route of 'wait and see'. If it turns our one of Seymour or Horne get the 7 shirt for next season, I'll obviously be disappointed. It's not as if it's through lack of trying to bring anyone in!

Already applied for it, he was all set to come over before Prince became available and complicated it. That's why he commented to Johns that 'that might not be happening now'. Think Miller himself has got a bit p****d off with us.

the issue isnt the fact we know we need new halfs but the fact there isnt any to buy and EVERY club on the planet it seems are looking for that very same sollution , look what wigan have accepted due to the lack of availability out there!!!

Basically he has played in the first team so meets the requirements (thats what I've been told anyway).

Now there is a kid who could be a huge star given the chance
