Shaul needs to learn how to link in with the attacking structure, as soon as he gets the ball out wide the play stops and concedes the tackle. Something he needs to work on.

Stunned miller isn't playing. He will get better with experience. Powell as good as said you lot were the better side today. Maybe just that extra bit of confidence / self belief we have took us over the line.

Today we missed big men, missed them badly. Plus we were a little dumb.
For me the Houghton and Aaron thing isn't working. Aaron off the bench 10 before halftime would of caused mayhem from dummy half. They were blowing, came at the right time for them.
Rankin is being wasted. Looks a dangerous runner, tests the line and defenders every time. But thing that caught my eye was a 20 metre cut out pass to the wing. Nearly got us something, then next play same but other direction. Not many players that can pass that effective each way, he has the skill set for 6, give him a run of games. Shaul still should play at full back. Adds threat.

Cracking close game today, like a cup-tie really, draw would have been a decent result. All credit to you guys for tireless defence and sustained belief.

We really need to replace Paul Cooke. Our forwards, although depleted, look competitive, but until we get a general who can consistently execute game management strategy we'll struggle to kick on. Effort there in abundance, again, love to see us bundling the opposition into touch, a really good indicator of attitude.. Top games from Talanoa and Thompson. Missing the creative and kicking X factor still.

Hope to see Miller get a chance next weekend. Heremaia to interchange hooker.

Not too concerned about the loss today but it's vital that we come through the run of home games with wins on the board.

I went today, thought both teams were evenly matched which showed by the score line I think what ultimately got cas over the line was they got the rub of the green in the 2nd half two big decisions which went their way was when we got penalised for pushing them into touch(aweful rule) and the aweful tackle on crooks when he was overturned past the horizontal and slammed on his back, also thought us only having two subs took its toll on us.

I think some cas fans are getting ahead of themselves and their luck will runout at some point as it did when we started a season with 5 wins.

They announced 9800 at the ground, even though it was a lot more than that.

Just a query, but why wasn't high tackle on Ellis, near the end, penalised, but was put on report?

Should he have done a lap of the pitch as further punishment? penalty given, nothing malicious

top 4 is wide open this season, but i have to say that from what i've seen so far standards in superleague are way below what they were a few years ago, especially the defending

If the officials dont see it but the player is hurt in any way it gets put on report to be dealt with afterwards if its bad or serious foul play.

I wouldn't take what's said on here too seriously.

A good, close game today.
Thought Danny Houghton was the best player on the pitch by a long way, he must have made double the metres of anyone else!
In my opinion the difference was in the halves. Neither Heremia or Horne seemed to link up with any of the backline fluently and all their passes were pretty much predicatable. On the other hand, I thought Sneyd made your defensive line stand off as he passing was more varied and he was prepared to try and throw a dummy and try to go through the gap himself to mix things up a bit more.

How opinions differ. For me Ellis was best player on the park. Our left edge was class. Yeamo and talanoa along with Ellis were solid.agreed with radders to bring on rankin for shaul who didnt get involved at all.

Praise Danny Houghton all you want but their first try came about directly from him having his back to play when getting back into the line. Such a school boy error.

yep, if we ever get a decent scrum half at the club, we'll be a good side. problem is, we never get one unless they arrive with one leg
