To be fair I was only against his signing because I thought he looked very average when I saw him playing for Wests, and his age and injury record wasn't ideal. No-one could have predicted that he wouldn't settle in the area. The only overseas signing I was happy about was Heremaia - and look how that turned out! lol

I am happy about the enforced clearout we're having though, I just wish it didn't involve Turner and Moa.

Still very impressive for an 18 year old to score 3 trys, 11 tackle busts and 3 clean breaks no matter who the opposition.

He is the best young player I've seen in attack since Sam Tomkins but his defence needs a lot of work. You've got a good player of your hands here for a month or so, enjoy

Can't agree that him going home 10 games into a 3 year deal isn't a shambles, it is. Most players at least see out the season.

Allegedly on a high salary, and the previous regime gave him a 3 year contract at 31.

We should only give 3 year deals for a 30+ player, only if they are exceptional.

With Manu,McKinnon,O'Meley leaving, Gentle has now room on the cap to shape the side,as he wants.

if he's asked to leave does this free up his full salary then or how does it work.

Hoffman was homesick all last year, didn't give less than 100% though. We should have told him he wasn't leaving until the end of the year.
