That's the plan depending on Moa's wages demands. However if Lauaki could be kept through another route then it would not be a bad thing as he might be better than what else is available.

He's non-fed now, as well as being quota. To come off the quota he'd need to produce an EU or Kolpack passport from somewhere, and to come off non-fed he'd have to have been registered with a UK club prior to the rule coming in in 2008 [iand applied for the exemption before he left the UK[/i. The bit in [iitalics[/i is why he doesn't qualify.

Brief change of subject here but our new fullback isn't getting a very good review from Malcolm Andrews over in Aus. According to his match report (Eels v Tigers) in the League Express Andrews reports that Mckinnon had a shocker of a game and quote from Andrews was "One can only wish the 'The Best of British' to Hull for 2012! Whilst I realise that one bad game doesn't make McKinnon a bad player, it does concern me, after all Andrews has seen a lot more of Mckinnon this season than I have. Hope it works out for us and his move brings out the best in him.

That's why I couldn't understand Sharp being on the bench on Friday, it was a perfect opportunity to give Kent some more game time to see what he has got (and as an aside Sharp should have been on earlier to give him more game time since he was on the bench).

We can't keep relying on having 8 overseas players. We should sort out OMeley, Moa and have Dowes and Radders as our four props next year if we can't get any other British players in, Tickle can cover too and use the youngsters. If we get a long term injury look to bring in a loanee, we have done before.

For a club our size and the youth structures we have, to have eight overseas players in the squad would be a joke.

An ex colleague of mine who's a Leeds fan is now based in Sydney and he watches the Tigers a fair bit as Gaz Ellis is still his hero. Once I heard we were signing their fullback, I asked him for reports as and when he watched them.
