Washy not been in the 17 would not surprise me, Agar could well end up losing us two top young players in Hall and Washy with the way he has used them. Washbrook should be our starting 13 nevermind struggling to make the bench and Hall should be in the centres with Yeaman. Hall did far more last year than Turner did at Saford.

Hal has so much potential its scary. People say about his defence but every time he has the ball he looks so dangerous. At the end of the day it comes down to do you want your to score tries and create for others or do you want yor to be a strong defender. Sadly RA imo always goes for the defence.

Indeed. A very odd selection considering the 2 warm-up matches. I knew Agar wouldn't have the balls to not play one of his senior props though.

Well if we don't win the forward battle because he doesn't have the strenght of character to drop one of Radford,Dowes or Cusack and would rather weaken our hitting power by dropping Moa because it's easier then I will probably start it straight after the saints game.

Not so sure I would have played that team but that's what I think it'll be, I think Dowes and Radford are ahead of Moa after the friendlies however Yak was only ok against Rovers but probably gets the nod due to been our best prop in 2009.

I agree with that. Think its a tough call between Hall & Whiting TBH, think I'd prefer Whiting against Saints at present but once the weather warms up and pitches get harder Hall for me everytime (form permitting of course) as he has pace and great feet, just think a heavy pitch is more suited to Whiting.

If Berro can remain at Hooker this season and not have to fill in at other positions then I think he will be awesome. We have seen his class whilst forced to play in other positions so a chance to concentrate in his preferred role, working alongside our new additions, he will be huge.

As much as I like Danny Houghton, if fit get Berro in the mix from the off !

Nope. Put it this way, not one person has guessed the correct starting 13.

They are basically the same player and you can add Yak into that aswell. Moa has played well enough pre-season to be selected.

If we have Radford, Dowes AND Cusack in our 17 at the expense of Moa, then we will be no better off than last season and my opinion of RA will have gone a full 360 degrees in quite a short space of time and I'll certainly be one of the first posters on the inevitable anti-agar thread.

If he drops Moa because he hasn't got the b0ll0cks to drop one of our cart-horses, then, for me, it's an indication that results/performances may not quite be what we hoped for and that he may not be in charge too long into the season.

For me going on what we have seen in the 2 games then Radford & Dowes have shown enough to be in ahead of Cusack, for me for the balance and make up of the 17 one of those 3 will always have to miss out (unless injuries dictate) a reason why I think signing Cusack to an extension was alittle premature (but think that may have been part of getting Fitz).

Everyone can see that our big strength this season will be Longy excelling behind our big dominant pack so O'Meley and Moa have to be two of our props with 2 from the other 3. If we go into the Saints game with reduced go-forward and aggression due to Agar's insistence of picking all of his favourite workhorses, we are asking for a wallopping (sp.)
