How confident are you guys with Lynne on the wing?

Seems alot of you think he is ready, I can see Tansey playing at fullback and Whitting on the wing.

When will people ever learn. Sammut will not be coming to Hull FC.

Got to go with Turner and Long in the halves and give them time to gel. None of this if Horne is fit then drop Turner either. Horne at best is back up now and Turner and Long will be our halfs for the season.

Lynne's not ready as first choice winger, but would hope he'll build on the 6 games he got last season. Our wingers don't see much ball, and think he might struggle defensively against an international winger in Fox. If Tansey plays, I'd imagine Whiting will play centre inside Sharp, with Yeaman and Briscoe on the other side.

Seems a physically stronger player this year without losing that blistering pace. Whilst not wanting to burn him out by making him first choice winger I would have no problems with him starting in Super League.

In fact I would love to see Hull utilise that pace with a kicking game and maybe...thinking outside of the box here...put Tom Briscoe into the centres and give our best strike player more ball to give our opposition more to worry about.

That said I am sure we will stay with the safer option of leaving Tom on the wing although I am not sure who will play right centre if Whiting is at full back for the absent Tansey.

First match, plus a derby we need experience on the wing...Will & Tom both have experience and blistering pace. If Tansey back (which I doubt, if not sacked he may have a few game bans)..I would put Whiting at f/back and I would have Yeamo and Manu centres (Manu can do a job there)

I am sure you are right and we will pick a team with the experience in the backs to not lose the game.

No problem with Whiting at full back but not keen on Manu in the centre but I guess our options are limited at the moment.

Seriously if you think Will Sharp has got blistering pace then im afraid your going to be left very disapointed!

Unless this is usain bolt, i'd stick with the opinion that will sharp is very quick!

Yeah i have and i also saw him get nowhere near Michael Dobson last season at quins and i wouldnt describe dobbo as having great pace

Sharp is quick but similar to Fox blistering pace it is not

Put it this way, he's more ready than the other options we currently have. Our backs are so thin that we're likely to spend a lot of the season patching up so we might as well give him game time to hopefully help his development. That way he might be pushing for a starting spot on merit next year.

Sharp has superb acceleration, I think this still counts as pace. Robinson wasn't the fastest winger but was described as pacey because of his acceleration. Reece is almost definitely our fastest player over 100 metres.

I thought young Jack Briscoe was our fastest over 100 metres ?

I actually meant in our starting team. I know Jack is who we sent to the fastest man event, but I'm not sure it's been established who's quickest in our overall squad.

Think Reece has the edge speed wise personally but Jack can certainly shift!
