Sorry but once again, no he wouldn’t. My opinion is that no team would have defended that try, kick early in the tackle count like that would have fooled everyone. It was a class move and should be applauded, not making excuses by blaming Connor. I would also add, like Talentless Boy, your dislike of FC is ruling your head.

As an opposition fan Connor is quite brilliant to watch. Wish there were more players like that in SL…..

As a Huddersfield supporter I was sad to see Jake leave the club. He had to move I think to play with better players and a bigger club. I watched a compilation of Jermaine Mcgillvary tries they put on Giants TV for his 300th appearance and Jake supplied plenty of those for him either at Centre or full back. There are not too many English players like Jake in super league at the moment a guy who can play off the cuff make things happen out of nothing, he is willing to take a chance and back his own ability to do the unusual and he has the skill to back it up he also has the confidence and arrogance to perform to a high standard and get under the oppositions skin and disrupt them and their game plan. I hope he will be around for a while to come at your club or elsewhere as I always enjoy watching him play, even against the Giants.

He might not be the best player ever, or lacks pace or whatever. But, I can assure you, ever SL team on their tactical meetings and tip sheets, will be finding a way to stop Jake as their number 1 priority - whether that be rushing up on him, preventing field position, slowing the PTB etc. Not one of our other players would be given such attention.

I agree with this. He's far from the perfect player but he brings skills that few have with the jeopardy of not knowing whether he'll show up, and is a character that gets people talking - not too many of them around.

He's played exactly the same as Gigot last night trying to win it with every play. Also I'd like him to run it in more when catching it rather than always making McIntosh or swift take the first drive

He shouldn’t have even been picked for the derby. He’s been shocking for two games and he continued it today. He did one great defensive tackle today but in attack he was unable to make a sensible decision.

Rovers did a number on him. Still our best attacking weapon. But needs to learn when to put the killer pass out.
