Everyone can see that our squad is paper thin in the forwards. We lose only 4 players and can't even play a game with 17 men.

It's sometimes not how many you have out, but who you have out. I'm not saying it isn't a poor result, just that it's not quite as bad as some are making out. Upsets happen - particularly early on. We need to sort discipline and mistakes though.

Whilst I'm not too bothered about this loss I am worried that we are showing no signs of rectifying the errors we have made in every game. We need a big response next week, because whilst some areas are clearly improving, some are no better than last year.

I have expected us to finish 6th-8th all season, the squad has far too many flaws to finish higher.

Of course I am disapointed to lose to Salford, but it isn't time for this board to go in to meltdown like it did during last season.

it is arrogant to expect we will just turn up each week and steamroller everyone, every side except Widnes seem to be competitive this season.

Penalties are killing us. Keep giving away field position and eventually you'll concede. If we can sort that things will be much better overnight.
