| Quote ="salthouse red"www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/news/ALLAM-INVESTS-163-1M-HULL-KR/article-3561797-detail/article.html is that how much it costs to make the cabbage patch a decent pitch
[iMULTI-MILLIONAIRE Assem Allam has agreed a deal to plough more than £1m into Hull KR, the Mail can exclusively reveal.
It will see him hand over a 'seven figure sum' for immediate investment into both players and facilities at Craven Park.
Mr Allam and his family will not take any shareholding or position at the club as a result, simply remaining as 'supporters'.
Mr Allam was a special guest of the Robins at Sunday's 46-18 win over Bradford at Craven Park, along with MP for East Hull Karl Turner, and leading members of the newly formed Labour group controlling the city council.
"It goes without saying that the club are hugely indebted to the family for their support, and the faith they have placed in me in particular."
Just last week the Allam's were reported to have a family worth of £287m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.[/i
This is quiet a suprise to be honest, i never knew Mr Allam was a Rovers fan, this is an interesting part "[iMr Allam was a special guest of the Robins at Sunday's 46-18 win over Bradford at Craven Park, along with MP for East Hull Karl Turner, and leading members of the newly formed Labour group controlling the city council[/i"
Regardless of peoples opinions about Hudge , one thing is for sure he is a shrewd business man with plenty of irons in the fire ( apart from the Mason scenario
)
Good news for Rovers i suppose, god knows what Allam will do with the KC if he buys it.'"

Then claim it was the people that decided not the council.'"
They can put it to a referendum if they want.
What they can't do is avoid their legal responsibilities as guardians of the City of Hull purse. They simply cannot, legally state that "it's what the public wanted"
No matter how rabid they may support the dark side, once the City's legal team have a word in their shell-like, this could get punted into the long grass for many years to come.

As Standee, Kosh & I have said: all elected councilors are legally obligated to serve their electorate, without prejudice and without personal favour. This lot are rank amateurs when compared to Poulson or Porter and none of them have the financial clout of the aforementioned and they still ended up in the dock.
I actually think that our board are playing a clever game at the moment and would be best served by keeping their traps shut and letting this charade run its natural course.

Very much so - no reason whatsoever for any public reaction from Hull FC.

| To be honest I find this situation a little unnerving. It’s kind of like when you climb into a freshly filled bath and for that first instantaneous second you cannot tell if it is really, really hot or really, really cold. As one wise man once said ‘all that glitters is certainly not gold’. The purchase of Hull City as a ‘lever’ to gaining ownership of the stadium seems to be the crux of the issue – confirmed recently by threats of moving the club to another venue and putting a strangle hold on the council’s stadium revenue if the sale was vetoed. For someone doing things for the people of Hull he has a very aggressive way of going about this. If this does not set alarm bells ringing I do not know what will.
This brings us to the issue of ground sharing with our neighbours from across the river. Anyone who believes that Hull KR will remain at Craven Park in the long term when the KC is in the hands of the Allams is deluded. As astute a businessman as Mr Allam is, he will want to maximise his return on his investment by greater use of the KC. We have already had Neil Hudgell openly saying in a recent HDM article that he would be open to the suggestion of Hull KR relocating to the KC Stadium with its superior facilities. And believe you me this will happen. And how exactly would that work for ‘home derby matches’ with shared ownership? Season pass holders not being able to sit in their own seat? Or with the regular friends around them? First come first served? A mess waiting to happen.
I personally like the way things stand at present. The KC Stadium is a community stadium paid for by the flotation of Kingston Communication built for the people of Hull. Its current owners (the council) will never go bust in the sense of the word and the ground will always be safe and our club will have a stable future. To the Allams I can see it being nothing more than a £44 million collateral asset sat on an ever expanding balance sheet, with long term investment & financial gain being the outcome.
I hope I am wrong and and I hope his motives are for the good of the people of Hull, but something somewhere does not ring true. I have followed my club whole-heartedly for the majority of my life. I love my club and would hate for anything untoward to spoil its future.
The Stadium belongs to the people of Hull and should remain so.

| We have not even reached the first hurdle yet and people are getting all of a dither
The opening shots in a war of words from the Allam PR machine, he knows he is up against it and hopes by taking on board a few red and white chancers he will increase his chances.
Wait and see how much he offers first :lol
The current Labour group are not stupid and there IS NO PRESSURE TO SELL THE KC for any finacial or political reasons. Any money raised from any imaginary or otherwise sale could not be used to subsidise care homes, school teachers, music academys, Hull truck or reduce the local tax.
I also see in his plans that the protected great crested newt colony is get its own special close to the stadium is to get its own playing pitches looking at the plans ...............

| This is all starting to boil down to how strong is our lease agreement and does it give us control or the SMC control of our rent agreements. I.e. We may have the right to stay as tenants but can we afford to stay?
Let's hope the rental agreement ball is in our court, because then Allam would have to buy us out to the tune of a shiny new stadium if he really wanted rid.
If not, then our deal with the SMC will get more and more expensive until it's not viable to stay and Allam can palm us off with whatever he needs to - playing at CP, a merger (as by then he'll have a big influence over Rovers) or tell us to bugger off and find your own funds for a new ground.
The club will probably come out shortly and tell us our lease is watertight and we have a right to stay at the KC. But what are the caveats within the lease agreement?

If city were in the premiership then the amount we pay to play at the KC would be negligible compared to their income. The loss in income would be far outweighed by having the KC to themselves
You really are naive if you believe they wouldn't have the will or capability to get rid of us if they owned the stadium outright
