Not being funny but 4 players out is hardly a major amount. Looking across the league that's pretty much par for the course. Are you running a small squad this year

I'm not going to make a big song and dance about the injuries because every team has them. However it is rather more difficult to find similar quality replacements for the likes of Sneyd, Ellis, Fonua and Taylor than it is for players of the "quality" of Donaldson, Addy, Marsh and co.

We also have a few players playing with knocks, but again I reckon most teams will be doing that at this stage of the season.

Sneyd being out last year, would have really worried me, this year with Kelly being here I feel more confident we can cope.

I don't think we will miss Sneyd - maybe his kicking, but not his creativity etc. I think Kelly and Connor will go OK

We all have opinions on players. I just don't get the hype with him.

whatever your opinion is of sneyd,we wouldn't have won the cup without him.i also have yet to be convinced of carlos or connor at halfback.

Sneyd is a great player and can create opportunity from anywhere on the field. When he is fit, he'll rightly rejoin the side. However, I agree with others, with Connor and Kelly we do have the depth. A fantastic achievement to be fair considering we've spent years struggling with the scrum half position. It would be interesting to understand the terms of Jordan Abdul loan as well if we loose our cover - while it was a season long loan, I would imagine there are clauses to reverse that if required.

This is a challenge - but shouldn't cause the sky to fall in. Still confident of a result at Leigh. Catalan I'm a bit more 50/50 about - but then I think it ludicrous that we are playing 3 games in just over a week.

Dont think he will be coming back anyway

Its not just the players who are out its the fact that we have several others playing with injury like Kelly,Connor,Manu and Minichello

As do most clubs I imagine

... and people forget Jack Logan, who may or may not have been playing regularly, but has been taking up cap space for nearly a year now. When he's fit, he may well not get a game this season.

This were Kelly struggled with us, very off the cuff and often brilliant but has no organisational skills whatsoever. Once we lost campese and relied on Kelly to organise it went awry more often than not. Connor may have these skills and fill the gap.

Tbf he's led us around a fair bit and his passing at times has been top notch. Maybe he has better players around him ?

What? Return fixtures so far have included Widnes and Leigh. Where do the points to secure top 8 come from?

2 players supposedly out for a while and you want to write the season off and hope we can survive the middle 8`s.

If the players have that attitude then we may as well give in.

Oh come on. Ellis, captain and talisman has barely played and sternum injuries are notorious. Taylor out with ligaments apparently. Already had Houghton out for weeks. Fonua? NRL bound three quarter out with no tinescale. Not even sure what Talanoa's injury is. We rode injury luck and good management well last year. Not writing anything off btw, retaining SL status is always a club's primary goal.

Sounds like Sneyd will be out for a while, certainly won't play on Monday.

If Connor was fit (was warming up) why didn't he play tonight.

Saying "season over" sounds like writing it off does it not?

Your post was directly in response to Sneyd and Taylor being out for a while.

As you say Ellis has barely played but we have still being around the top of the table.

All teams have injuries and players missing but doubt their fans are claiming"season over" and neither should we.

Would rather hope we have enough at the club to overcome adversity and get us out of this rut.

Well, the difficulty is clear. It's difficult to break Top 4 once you're out of it at the split. We're wobbling, haven't played reverse fixtures against any of the top sides yet and have just lost our playmaker long term. If we miss Top 4 at the split IMO we'll struggle to reel teams in, didn't pull up trees in the 2016 Super 8s. And we have the treble-elect side to play in the cup. But apart from all that, plenty of grounds for optimism. I hope exactly the same as you, obviously. Best option for us now IMO is throwing everything at Catalans and the Cas cup game, then we'd be 80 minutes from both Wembley and safety. League without Sneyd, Fonua, Taylor and Ellis (all Dream Teamers) for long periods is going to be beyond us in my opinion.
