We beat a crap Catalans and even worse Bradford and people have been bigging Radford as our saviour sorting out discipline etc and tagging our attack as so much more fluid yadda yadda, and some even more stupidly saying we could be top 4!!
If Radford was sticking to his guns then Crooks should have been dropped before today and as for the rest of the performance it was average at best.
Poor game management not to bring Whiting on earlier and ill discipline, yet again..
So what was inaccurate in what I wrote, were top banana according to some.

Crooks was dropped week before last, one week is not enough to sort out his defensive frailties.

Not really bigging Radford up but people have seen us score far more easily (22 against St Helens for example) and our attacking play has looked more fluid. There's been equal criticism of our defence by the same people. That's a balanced view.



If you went today then I respect your rating of 'average' - I didn't so the intricacies of our performance today will have to wait until I see it on FC live. If you didn't go then you know no more than me about the level of performance. I do know that we didn't go behind until the 74th minute of the game so clearly we weren't blown away. It sounds like errors near the end were very costly but that we probably should have made more of good field position earlier and it cost us in the end.



Not sure your definition of 'game management' matches most others judging by that sentence. Could you describe the specific ill discipline - I doubt we conceded more than 6 penalties in the game which indicates that overall discipline was much improved and probably no worse than an average penalty count against.

It seems that way. As for Crooks he obviously offers a lot in attack and I can understand the impulse to play him but at this level you have to make your one on ones.

Personally thought Hull stopped us playing the way we have been and defended really well. But so did we and I always felt the longer we stayed in the game we would come up with something and win at it. Just the way things seem I be going for us.

How so? We lost, some of us can see the reasons why we lost today. Brain farts being a big factor plus dumb kicking to one of the most powerful wingers in the game. That's poor decision making.

Most thought it would be close - most Cas fans thought they'd win and most Hull fans thought they'd win. Hardly a shocking revelation. My point was that possibly at the end home advantage might have helped tip the balance - and I'd fancy us wining the return fixture based on how the game went today.

I said we would win it in the second half earlier in this thread. Our second half performances have been great so far. Now only conceded 3 second half tries in 5 games. Even though you lost it more than we won it. Good to see so many of you also and good luck until we next play each other.
