The issue in oz is that dd is not looked upon as bad as it is over in the UK. The chavs or bogans as they're known here see a dd offense as a kind of stripe. I'm no way excusing what he's done, and would never dream of dd'ing but it happens over here a lot more than in the uk. Hell, people even drink whilst bloody driving!!!!

I cant see how the dd can mean his visa will be revoked or is it the 'evading police' that's the issue?

It's the fact that he now has a criminal conviction that has changed his circumstances since the visa was issued that is the potential problem

He's gone from a "normal" applicant to a "Crocker" and the fact of the conviction and the sentence could (not saying they will) affect the visa.

For mine he has possibly cut his own throat and thrown away (possibly) a good earner that'd go some way of setting himself up after his carreer is over. I would still have him here as he has what it takes and what we need in the half backs.
My main worry now would be the UKBA allowing/denying him entry, not wholely because of the conviction, but because the way I see it is that the UKBA will play it by the book because of all the bad press it's had on 'relaxing' the rules these last two weeks.
If he gets through I think he will want to prove a point (again) and be a cracking signing........and could just be the responsibility that he needs to help the youngsters on by saying to them look how easy it is to throw it all away.

They're still fairly strict but I think the publicity they had when the Wicked Witch of the West was in charge calmed things a bit.

He's been a plonker and I don't condone it & he is yet to arrive at the club. I have no problem with him as long as when he does get here he tows the line and is a model pro. He should I hope be warned about his conduct whilst at Hull FC.
