results have been rubbish because of the lack of a decent coach in part but we're one of only 4 clubs with a consistent fan base over 10k. like it or not we are a big club which isn't measured by on field success

I support Radford because he is the coach of Hull Fc and I support Hull Fc, not knock them at every opportunity like a few like too.

We didnt do as well as I would have like last season and Radford certainly made a few mistakes but he is a young coach and I am sure he learned a lot last season and I fully expect we will do a lot better next season.

He is the first coach since Cooke left that has actually gone out and done something about our halfback situation which everyone on here has complained about so good on him.

This is probably closest to my opinion. The biggest problem I've had with Radford is that he has done no better a job at addressing our biggest core failings than the last few coaches. He needs to improve at least some of these issues next season (and by that I mean improvement throughout the squad, not just via recruitment) before I'll start to be convinced he's up to the job.

The last few games contained some cause for optimism, I hope that continues as things coming together rather than a relaxed purple patch because the season was gone.

You are confusing "big club" with "successful club".

Newcastle United haven't won anything for decades but are still a big club.

Hull are a bigger club in terms of support and have been on the pitch for most of the last twenty years except for the odd season lately both teams are in that middle group not troubling the big clubs but better than the bottom clubs the difference is Hull should be doing a lot better

The way the OP question is written is a bit contrived, however, For me Radford was a surprise and a choice where I felt hope not confidence. Since then sink or swim tended more towards sink…. yet through all this I felt Radford spoke well to the media, always honest and spoke sense. After being pushed in at the deep-end he appears finally to be getting going, and I am looking forward to the new season with confidence. Good recruitment, youth showing up well (apart from Miller,) half backs who should be an improvement on last year. Radders has now cut his teeth, he'll better for that and I think we will do well in our 150th year. Scorelines suggested we weren't that far off last year, if we can get things mentally right i believe we can push for a top 4 spot.

Was Holdsworth crap? He was one of the best HB's in the comp when you signed him. Was it more the case of buying the aforementioned Bugatti Veyron and then using it for cross country hill climbs?

More like the Veyron decided it would only go beyond 3rd gear when it felt like it.
