Our iffy kicking of conversions could be a massive factor in the result as I'm expecting this to be a tight game.
Cas look strong so far this season - definitely above my pre-season expectations - but I think we can take them if we get a similar performance from the forwards as this week.
We've got a real headache over our right wing/centre combinations, would rather see Whiting back in the second row where he's best but surely there has to be a reason for both Arundel and Crooks being overlooked for last week's game.

Really hope I can get to the game, Wheldon Road certainly isn't the biggest stadium in the world but it's probably my favourite! Always a cracking atmosphere when I've been (which has been every year for the last 5 seasons).

TBF Wigan sold 2k there should be 12k there but I would say nearer 10k at the match on the down side there is only 1 pub open on Wheldon road now and it gets packed so if your having drink get there early.

Dropping Bowden is harsh, but IMO we have to bring in Carvell if he is 100% fit, i'd be tempted to go with 5 props and look at playing Feka or Watts out wide for a bit. I'd also be tempted to play Crooks on the wing, gives up pace and an aerial threat.

This is the type of game which will determine whether we have a decent season or another slightly dispiriting one. Hopefully we will come away with the points, but it's really close to call.

injuries might dictate my predictions - little knocks to 3/4 of our players from yesterday.

If we get turned over I won't be too fussed - we have salford and london next 2 so I'd take a home defeat if it means a fitter suqad for those, with players rested rather than playing them with knocks against a Hull team starting to impress.

Whatever we do I trust Darryl Powell's decisions.

Should be a cracker if both sides show up though.

FWIW I doubt Carney will get a ban - official line is that he was sin-binned for throwing a punch and not making contact - "sin bin sufficient" would be the logical call. But eitehr way, James Clare won us the match in this fixture last year

They're very good at getting the ball out wide quickly creating an overlap we need to be on the ball here. However they appeared to struggle up the middle with Wigan's big forwards hopefully that's something we will exploit on Sunday. Can see it being another high scoring game. Reckon this could come down to goalkicking!!
