Feel a bit sorry for Bowden, thought he did well when he played mid season, not sure how old he is but I know he's young and got time to develop. Brought Johnson in as the prop to replace Moa, and while I love his determination, he ain't a patch on what Sam was. Think we defo need a big meathead to drive up the middle as Lynch is passed his best, and we need a quality second rower to replace Tickle. As stated Yeamo is getting on, although his hit on Hansen in the final was the highlight of my day.
I must say I really am impressed with the youngsters we are bringing through, and those we have brought in, it makes it difficult to determine who you bring in, do you stick with some of these youngsters, like Green and Bowden or do you bring in experience which could leave them out of the 19 like it has Bowden most of this year.

Centre is an area I'm happy with - Yeaman, Crooks and Arundel are 3 decent SL centres, with two of them being very young.

And if we get rid of Shannon who is our other full back for when Shaul gets injured? And don't say Horne or Whiting.

We need another prop, other than Walker/Paea and a backrower with some impact. Shaul will act as cover for the wing with Crookes aswell as competing for the FB spot.

So you want to keep Shannon as back up to Shaul? That's even more of a waste of salary cap. Shannon simply isn't good enough to be taking up the size chunk of salary cap that he undoubtedly is. Its a waste especially with someone as talented as Shaul on the books.

How about sonny bill to replace tickle,inglis to replace briscoe and gallen for a bit of grunt up front.

McDonnell has another year on his contract so will be here next year. Shaul can fight for the spot and also play on the wing. Provided Shaul continues to improve then we won't offer Shannon a new deal i'd imagine.

shaul is pretty spectacular but doesn't offer what McDonnell does linking into the line

It's not Shannon's biggest strength either but for all the Shaul has done I still think he has to improve his game so would be in no rush to pay Shannon off. That would be silly.

Reckon Shaul will spend a year on loan somewhere next year.
