The only bigger U-Turn I can recall is when the "Crap" S.Briscoe" left FC to sign for rovers and suddenly was heralded as a world beater.

He's not crap and I would assume most honest Rovers fans would state that. The thing we don;t know is what his wages are, if you get him in for what he's worth then you have a decent signing. The concern is he seems to think he's worth far more than that.
If he improves his defensive positioning and aimless running in his own half then you'll have a decent full back as his catching and joining of the line in set play attack is very good.

Briscoe had the bottle to defend.
Unlike McDonnel , who singlehandedly cost Rovers 6 victories last season.

Most Rovers fans I know are disappointed he's left them, really rate him. Then again they are not trying to score a silly little point on the internet.

McDonnell was ok for us, tbh we didn't really see enough of him to be able to really judge him I guess. He was good under most high balls, has good feet, likes to come into the line, he's pretty quick too. His one on one defence apparently wasn't that good, but not a lot of fb's are tbh, personally I thought he held onto the ball too much in good attacking positions. Once it became clear he wasn't gonna sign a new contract he actually played better and scored a few tries for us and then got injured and went awol

Is that to go alongside the turnstiles you already have.

A few we're saying it after about 5 games though.
Some of those fans are now just restating it.

Well Gentle obviously rates him, as does Sandercock who persuaded Hudge to pay off the guy from Sheffield who he had signed before Sandercock was appointed in order to sign McDonnell.
