id say you already have the better of the 2 young english props we have. you'd be paying over the odds. Hudgells comments are just sounding out what a LOT of chairman are thinking, most of this stuff comes from agents and money. simple as that. if you want to pay over the odds for him, then there isnt anything we are going to be able to do to stop you.

Hudgell maybe just sounding out what a lot of chairmen are thinking BUT why does he mention F.C. and Pearson "raising the bar". Maybe it's because he is just obsessed with beating us and being above us in the league eh? All teams in SL are trying to "raise the bar" not just F.C.

I agree and that says something because I thought we did a good job on him. Every time he rant he ball in he was swarmed by FC defenders, but it took four defenders to bring him down and he still made a couple of yards too. Prop forwards generally get better with age so I really can see Taylor being a future England international.

Those bits point towards somebody who has come through their academy IMO. If it had said 'taken a chance on' or 'given an opportunity to' it would maybe fit McDonnell, but it's a hard fit to associate those comments above with a one-season NRL gamble, really.

why shouldnt' a player try and maximize his earnings Hudgell ya bell ! It's not like they play forever or get footballers wages.

Maybe they should make market value offers and not rely on a player wanting to play for his hometown club so they can pay them less. Go on Taylor lad ! ( just don't go Leeds).

He's not a world-beater as the Rovers fans seem to be making out, but from what I've seen I really like him. He will be a very good front-rower in time.

I think it's clear now he was talking about Taylor/Howes.

And in the HDM article it makes reference to a fall out between HKRap and Howes which cannot be a good move on KRaps part, mind you theyve still got Mimis and Australia to fall back on as usual
