Kids ? Dickheads more like. I'm not particularly bothered about the match ball but it sums up the idiots we have at away matches. I thought the idea was to go and support your team not spend 80 mins playing " twister " and ignoring events on the field in its entirety.

Err... He's a professional sportsman with a responsibility to be a role model. It's his job. He gets paid. If he didn't want the booing and thug related chants then maybe he shouldn't have done the things he's done in the past.
No professional sportsman should incite a crowd. What was he trying to achieve?

I think you're been a bit harsh to be honest mate. They were messing about a bit before kick off picking up that girl, and then tackling each other when they got the ball but apart from that they got behind the team.
I don't know them and they were a bit annoying, but as I said they weren't too bad, and weren't really harming anyone.

| For the record, the stand you were in is mixed - not an 'away' end - so Cockayne was quite justifiably celebrating a win with his team-mates, in front of his own supporters. Chucking things at him was not a reasonable response.
Either way, it was a great atmosphere today and I'm not overly worried if there were a few idiots - every club has them.

Nobody has said it was a reasonable response. Two wrongs don't make a right.
But if you think he was celebrating like that to the home fans, you are either being naive or argumentative. The majority of the stand were away fans. He was goading.

Come of it how can you be so naive cockayne knew exactly what he was doing he wasnt just celebrating for your benefit he knew he would get a reaction off the fc fans, a bit of clapping towards his own fans would of been sufficient but no he had to take it one step further and celebrate like he had just won a cup knowing it would get a reaction.
Hes a idiot of the highest order and if he wasnt a pro rugby player he would probably be sat in jail by now.

I cheered raynor on yeah but never defended him and lets face it raynor never behaved like cockayne does on the pitch and alot of people on twitter, facebook and on here seem to be applauding and defending cockaynes actions if he was a fc player i would be ashamed of him, its the same with any player who has been in trouble with the law they are bound to get abuse about it but they should of thought about these things befor comitting the crime they need to man up take it on the chin and be the bigger man and ignore it.

The same could probably be said of a significant majority of RL players. And footballers. And boxers.
The fact remains - you were mixed in with a large number of WTW fans (you know - the way it should be) and he celebrated a win with his team-mates and home supporters; you just happened to be there.
It's not all about you.

You realy are naive, a quick visit to cockaynes twitter account will prove he knew he would be winding up the fc fans.

Then maybe you should learn to let go? You only get wound up if you let yourself get wound up.
Your collective rancour has only served to get him trending on Twitter - Hull FC fans have made Ben Cockayne into RL's Robbie Savage.

Because he's a paid professional that has rules to follow. He should be able to take a bit of stick on the pitch. It's not like anything that's not been directed at other players in the past.
Neither his goading or the response to him from certain Hull fans are acceptable.

The vast majority of Hull fans won't have a problem themselves with his goading. The problem is that there will always be a stupid few fans that do, and they'll spoil it for everyone.
I had two bottles whizz pass my head, and two grown men barge past me in a fit of rage to get to the barriers to abuse him for it. As a professional who gets paid (and in part by these supporters) he has a responsibility. There was huge potential for things to get even uglier. That's not what rugby league is all about and that's why we have the Respect Policy.

No reason that Cockayne can't celebrate victory, it's not like he was sticking two's up at your lot. Though he would have had every right to after the abuse he had.

No he wouldn't have every right. What a moronic thing to say to condone such behaviour from players.

| Cockhead is an oxygen thief. He thrives on causing trouble and generally being a dick, it's what he lives for. Let him have his moment celebrating his cup final and be safe in the knowledge that he will always be a scumbag who would be rotting in a prison if he wasn't a RL player and I'm sure he'll still end up there anyway.

Ben Cockayne is not the only one and will not be the last one to get verbals from the crowd for doing something wrong. See Gareth Hock, Ryan Bailey, Chev Walker, Leon Pryce and Stuart Reardon.
However, his is the most disgusting I've witnessed, and it's not an isolated incident. Have you seen the video?
Quote ="wildycat"Just move on and support your team, your paying to watch a game not get involved in other people personal lives, and this for all clubs get rid of the idiots we don't need them, before they get your club a fine...'"
I do support my club, and in all honesty the Cockayne celebrating issue doesn't bother me personally. It's the reaction he was wanting and was always going to get from the idiots in the crowd that bothers me.
The difference between me and you is I'm not condoning what certain Hull fans did, but you're condoning what Cockayne did. They're both wrong. Both showed no respect and that goes against the Respect Policy.

You can't have it both ways, either you agree with the whole respect thing or you don't. You can't say it's acceptable for Hull fans to insult Ganson, Cockayne, Mathers or whoever they damn well please, then start preaching about Cockayne celebrating in front of a MIXED stand.
Personally I don't mind it, it was an emotional win, he was getting abused throughout the game - and like I say he was not sticking 2's up or whatever.
Continually abuse a player over a long period of time? Don't be surprised when he reacts.

| Speaking of idiots in the crowd.
I would just like to thank the moron who threw a can in the air towards our group of supporters and whilst showering us in beer also nearly hit the children stood in front of us and after confronting this moron and his inbread offspring stood there puffing out his chest like a peacock denying he or any other of the sheepish people around him had done anything.
Like said all clubs have them, pot kettle springs to mind.
