Same as Ogre living of past reputation and the odd big carry and hit now but not internationals any more and Peacock isnt far behind IMO

The point being the press will talk about whatever they believe they can get the most mileage out of. They always have and always will. In this case they believe the omission of Morley is the big story, rather than the inclusion of any particular individual. And yes I understand the Ferdinand situation is slightly different if you believe that it's motivated by other than his football ability (however he's only played about 4 times for England in the last couple of years anyway).

Hodgson could have kept up the pretence of omitting Ferdinand for footballing reasons as opposed to the stuff with his brother and Terry, [iif [/ihe had replaced Cahill with for instance Micah Richards, a player that can play right back and centre half as well as being a current champion. Replacing him with a right back that made 10 appearances for the side that finished 8th is where he has unfortunately shown himself up.

As for Morley, his omission - whilst the correct decision - is newsworthy as he is a highly capped player.

His positioning still needs work, although I'm not sure if that's what was meant by the previous comment.

At the minute though I wouldn't be disappointed if neither of them played + Manu actually purely for injury reasons.

Agreed, God knows what anyone see's in this bloke. For me, one of the worst players in Super league.

It's another unbalanced squad but i'd go with.

Don't think anyone's mentioned it yet, but there's a very real chance of Tickle and Manu going head-to-head. Could be an interesting battle.

I'd do the same but swap Hall for Charnley. All 3 wingers are quality but I think that both Hall and Briscoe are better than Charnley.

Some of his positioning in defence isn't as good as his offence, but I wouldn't say it was weak. He will only get better and is easily a better winger then Charnley, IMO.

Charnley has been far better than the pair of them all season.

Well done to both of the FC guys for making the squad. Especially pleased for Tickle as he's quietly improved his game year on year.Now has his reward for all that hard graft.

charnley has been playing in a far better team than both of them this season. You could stick any one of about a dozen SL wingers in his place in the wigan team and they would have done the same. I doubt charnley would have scored the number of tries briscoe has if he were on the wing for Hull

Exactly. Charnley is a good winger, but Briscoe is class. He can create something from nothing which I haven't seen Charnley do.

Could you see Charnley scoring Briscoes second try against Leeds a few weeks back? No chance, I don't think any other winger in the league could of scored that busting through two seperate lots of 7 Leeds defenders.
