Not sure if it came across on TV or not, but during the first half the fans were singing 'there's only one Willie Manu' and Manu looked quite moved by it, and clapped the fans.

I hope and pray that the longer the silence goes on, the more likely it is that he will stay. Gareth Ellis is a massive signing for the club, but there simply isn't another Willie Manu out there in the world of Rugby League.

Maybe we'll hear something after the Saints game.

Hasn't Pearson already said that he's gone next year.

the club said that he had rejected their 'final offer' and was free to talk to other clubs...but this was weeks ago, and he hasn't signed for Saints as everyone expected him to. The longer it goes on, the more likely it is that both sides will come to an agreement IMO.

Manu is probably the best forward outside of a top 4 club.

Although I have obviously enjoyed watching him in a Hull shirt, you can only imagine how devastating he would have been at Saints or Leeds during the last 5 years...I think we'd be hailing him as one of the best players ever if he was finishing off moves created by the likes of Long/Cunningham/Pryce/McGuire/Burrow.

Along with Hock he's the best backrower in the league!

There has been no confirmation that Manu has signed for Saints, Leeds or anyone for that matter. There has been rumours that he has signed for Saints. But no confirmation of a signing, you're making yourself look stupid.

What proof do people want??

Those in the know, will never give proof or they will be exposed and loose their access.
Those not in the know will never give proof as they have none.

The best you can hope for is a poster with a proven track record of being correct on these matters, that brings with it credibility, but not proof. Asking for proof is akin to saying stop posting, what do you want a signed copy of the contract printed on the web???

Proof would be it been in the papers/on the clubs site giving confirmation that Manu has signed for said team on x amount of years.
There has been none of that, therefor he hasn't officially signed for anyone yet.

You're saying it's a fact that he has signed for Saints. Yet still haven't given any proof, and won't be able to provide any.

I would be happy if we can get him signed up, even if its 3 years.

The 3 year deal seems to be the thing puuting peoples opinions in limbo. But if someone had a crystal ball and said he is going to play 2 years like he did yesterday but then do his knee in the 3rd season and not play I would take that.

We have had plenty of players over the years we have paid to sit on the treatment table, its part and parcel of the sport, with Manu he is a player worth taking a gamble on due to what he offers on the pitch. Plus I genuinly think he will still be going strong in 3 years anyway.
