Flying half way round the world to play for West Hull seems a bit odd when he could be playing a higher standard in Oz?

you sure it was Siggy he played under? (and Sterlo and Andy Mighty were kicking about then) and didnt Siggy sign David and TV?

Think it was the 1995 short season he was here, if we held on to him till the 97 season Bai outside Vaikona would have been even better!

Paul Sterling played for Hull before Marcus Bai i think. The infamous (made up) Paul Fletcher incident happened when Rovers were still in the top flight and before Gene, Okul and Bai arrived.

This has turned out to be quite a bizarre story!

James Smailes says that Basa has signed for West Hull. Whether it's them or Easts, the lad sounds very keen to prove himself and get at chance at Hull FC so it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

I asked him what his strengths are:

"strong fend, good step, fast and the best defender in the side - rest of the other things are clinical techniques we learnt from knights"

Lee Radford and dean hoggard were contacted by sparta rotterdam to see if they could get sam basa 3 month experiance playing in the uk,Radders kindly offered to give him a go at east hull and basa was paying his own way,Basa also wants to meet stanley gene,[uThere has been no talk of basa signing for hull fc[/u,just his dream,he is not yet in the country and if he does arrive he will start training with east hull,then he will play for sparta rotterdam in the future,that is the true facts and its been twisted,[ualso he has not spoke to west hull or fc[/u,hope that explains everything
