They will train with us during the week (or, atleast, several days of it) and we can recall them into our squad if we need them to play for us, so if we had a couple of injuries at Prop then we could get Green into the 17.

Nope, I think that we've had Burnett out on it (Sheffield?), Aldous, Green (Doncaster), and possibly a couple of others in the past.

We seem to only just be starting to use it properly, for the intended reasons it was brought in. Instead of using it as a way to develop youngsters with a view to them playing SL, under the old regime it seemed more a way of giving lower league clubs a free trial of young players before we inevitably got rid, as we had very little intention of giving them a first team chance.

Agreed Carl, we should link up with a club and have 4 players there every year.
It's not like we can't recall them.
