How much do you think Seymour could demand in the NRL?

Hasn't Tompkins just signed a new deal rumoured to be around 300K and makes him the highest paid SL player.

Surley no body thinks Seymour will be on anywhere near that.

No idea but there far fewer decent scrum halfs in SL than there is in the NRL making his worth much higher over here and dont forget this is Hull FC we were talking about and not some well run club

Dobson doesnt have to prove anything over there, he plays here!!!!

I was pointing out your predictability re: Hull FC players.

My point is Seymour has been a regular half back in the NRL for a number of years, Dobson wasn't good enough, why would Seymour command a lesser wage just because he hasn't played over here yet?

Fair point, the reason why Dobson will be on a very good wage is because he has proven to be the best scrum half in SL for a number of years(I know you guys wont agree with that but winning the the best player in his position a number of times kind of proves he is right up there).

TBF would Seymoor be likely to get another contract at a club in the NRL where he is likely to be first choice?
If he is getting around £120k over here, his agent has done a very good job.

Well I have said for the last 4 or 5 seasons that I have been less than impressed with your signings and looking at your league finishes in that time, your recruitment has been poor. I know pre season is a hard time for RL fans in general but its the bigging up of your team in those years that is kind of crazy, stuff like talk of top 4 finishes, biggest and toughest pack in the league etc your recruitment has not been anywhere near up to those standards.

So maybe thats why I dont 'big em up' like many on here.

I actually think FC have moved in the right direction this year, not just off the field but slight improvements on it too. Not sure your going to be much more competitive regarding a league finish this seson but its some of the foundations you have made off the field that will benefit the club longer term.

Once again, he doesnt need to, has been outstanding at all the clubs he has played for here in SL!

Dobson isnt even the best S/H in Super League.

So if a team signed Thurston/Cronk or Daly evans....they should be paid less than Dobby the house elf?????

Your talking about superstars of our game and one young lad who looks very special, not Seymoor who has been replaced by a teenager and forced into reserve grade. Huge difference in quality!!!!

A teenager who looks "very special" has replaced Seymoor.......Very happy with this signing,has a wealth of experience in the NRL and will do a job for us.

He does look like a good player but for me DCE has it all, can see him been a future international for many years to come, wonder if he is going to be the replacement for Lockyer.

I also think Seymoor will do a good job for you, thats not what the conversation was about.

And to put things into perspective, you're talking about somebody who never really made it beyond that reserve grade, yet because he's done well over here is somehow more proven in your eyes.

Let me just see if I'm understanding your reasoning properly. If, for example, Leeds were to have signed Ryan Hinchcliffe to replace Buderus, he should be commanding less money than Lincoln Withers? Likewise if Ben Roberts comes over to SL he should be earning less than Blake Green?
